What did you do to your bike today?

I reinsured it today for £160 and booked it in for an MOT.

I assume my indicator being held on with silver aluminium tape is okay and will pass the test?

not sure, mine was hanging off and he passed it,suppose it depends on the tester

alsong as its fairly secure and working I wouldn't have thought it an issue

Well it'll be a softer compound so in the dry, warm weather it'll stick like **** to a blanket. But in typical cold/damp uk weather I doubt it'll have much grip at all.

Does your bike have ABS? If not, and you do any riding in the damp/wet, I'd sell it and buy a rosso 2 front.

I wouldn't run with those mixed tyres, would be completely different characteristics.

Either sell it or just get it swapped IMO.

I'm the ABS!

No but seriously it doesn't, already posted it up for sale on Facebook groups. What mainstream site would be good to sell it on? Ebay, Gumtree?

Selling seems easier and more profitable. :D

I'm just wondering how long it wil ltake to shift a 110/70 17

Edit
Such as the supercorsa.

The rc390 runs that size front tyre, as will a few others, so you might get someone with an rc390 doing track days.

That's good to hear, we'll see... I only just posted it on gumtree for 99.95 inc. p&p. Sounds like a good deal to grab? I'm not being too greedy, am I? :p

ring and ask a local bike/tyre shop and say I wanna swap it for a rosso plus a few quid your way see what they say

Will try that, 2-3 local bike garages. One of them closed for 2 weeks... I doubht they'll take it in though, I'll give it a go anyways. :)

Will get better shots when it isn't raining and also give a write up on my thoughts... looks pretty good!

Took it out for a test ride this morning & I can honestly say it runs quite a bit better than before which is a right bonus after all the work I've done, Only thing I had to do was just take a bit off the tick over but the Vulcan has a really easy to get to tick over adjuster that hangs down just behind the air filter housing, Access is that good you can adjust it at the lights with your gloves on which is what I did. Throttle feels lovely & smooth, Pick up is better & I've got the tick over just right.

On another note I think I'm going to spray my tank Satin Black to match the guards as the home sprayed effect I've got from the Satin Black has really aged it, I'm thinking do the tank then get some decals for it. I want to get some WW2 Bomber women type decals, Anybody know where I can get some ? Would be even better if I could get someone to Free hand it.

Next mechanical work will be the valve clearances but I'm in no rush as I need to enjoy the bike for a bit after the work I've been doing on it.

It's the law where he lives.

Can you turn off the surrounding LEDs?

New bikes must have running lights but there's no law on keeping them.

I'll be swapping them out one day, people simply don't look for you so with the stock (one) light that was on for low beam I kept the running lights so people can try to triangulate me lol.

Now with the running lights in the actual headlights I'll get them off

So do the led strips on the edges also work as indicators? That would be pretty cool, you could take off those big chunky indicators off. :D

No they don't, they could have but I thought they were too close in color to the actual lights and no one is going to see them, especially from the side. I'll pick up some nice flush ones soon

I'll be bitching at the guy who made them and demanding he comes and fits new ones :P

It was such a bitch to fit them, must be 20 feet of cabling to hide and plug in, still need to mount the switch that turns the HID's off
