** Star Wars Episode VII - SPOILERS WITHIN **

People really think Jar Jar going to be the new bad guy in this film? seems like a **** take to me lol, some peeps have way to much time on their hands.

** Fully star out any swearing **

If Jar Jar is the ultimate enemy I will burn down every cinema, every studio, kill everyone related to the film industry so that idea could never, ever be taken any further.

Indeed - for me, this new trilogy is all about redemption of the franchise after Lucas saw fit to squander its legacy with the appalling prequels. Outside of Hayden Christensen's wooden acting (be it down to his acting skills, a dodgy script or a combination of both), the chief annoyance was that irritating bloody Gungan, which I cannot see as anything more than an ill-judged, risible attempt at injecting a bit of humour/slapstick into proceedings.

At first I wasn't convinced by that Jar Jar theory but after reading the entirety of that reddit thread I honestly think I buy it. Wow. Might just have been Lucas' initial idea though and one he abandoned. The idea that he revealed this to JJ Abrams and it will be carried through to the new film seems less likely to me. But who knows. If true... then just wow basically.

To reveal that stupid character as the ultimate villain of the new trilogy would destroy any shred of credibility that the new films look like bringing back. If this was Lucas' original intention for Jar Jar, then it shows just how much he had lost the plot by then and it should be a relief for SW fans the world over that he is no longer at the helm - and I hate saying that about the man whose imagination gave us the films we hold so dear.

As much as I wouldn't like the jar jar theory to be true. I think it would be an absolute masterpiece in cinema history and would be remembered for along time. It would be up there with the box in the movie seven.

Yup, I think the chances of this happening are about 0.1%.....but I would totally love GL all over again if he really did plan this :D

No idea what to make of this but apparently the actor who did the costume acting for Jar Jar (which was later replaced for CGI) Ahmed Best tweeted this:

I will say this, it feels really good when the hidden meaning behind the work is seen. No matter how long it takes. #TPM

According to this website, it's his officially linked twitter profile.... pretty amazing development even if he's just trolling!

Oh come on really - it's just a case of taking the character everyone hates and retrospectively looking for bits and bobs to back it up.

There's no way they would seriously try to pull that off. 0.00% chance.

Whilst that Jar Jar theory is a very interesting read...just no. No. No. No.

Even still...to see it become truth would be mind blowing haha.

I thought that the Jedi were very sensitive to other force users? I would have thought that the number of Jedi's Jar Jar have run into over the years would be able to tell if he was a force user/sith?

Even if the plans were abandoned after TPM I'm sure Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan would have discussed it during the first prequel.

No Jedi's sensed that Palpatine was a force user or Sith lord

That was in the prequels though...that had all sorts of inconsistency. In the OT there are a few cases where Luke and Vader sense each other. Also I think Luke senses Leia's force at the end of Jedi even though she does not. In the way Vader senses Luke's in the trench run before he really understands it himself.
