Is it not possible to have a reasonable discussion on the pros and cons of leaving the EU without it devolving into name calling and insult slinging? Come on guys, I was under the impression that OCUK forum goers were mostly mature adults, would you behave like this if you were talking in person?

More of our tax money being thrown at chancers.

I'm sure one of the remainers will be along in a moment to explain why there's nothing to see here.

Good deal if you ask me. If anything should have been done months ago. Surprised Greece hasn't tried something similar.

If we leave then think of those not so poor wealthy farmers/ Tory landowners losing thousands of pounds a year in CAP benefits because they own great swathes of moorland for which they receive hundreds of pounds per hectare even if they leave the land untouched for decades.
Farmers run a business like thousands of others so why should they receive a handout whether they need it or not ?

They receive it because French farmers have demanded a handout since the start of the EU, closely followed by the Germans. So to keep them happy the EU invented the CAP..............................we have been stuck with it ever since.

"Mature adults" ? I was always under the impression that most members here were between the ages of 14 and 21..........................certainly not "Mature adults"

Yes so was I, I imagine the vast majority are under 21, they must be looking at some of the posts.

Were you really?
You've been here since 2003 & I'm sure you've noticed the amount of members we have who joined before you and not long after so quite how you think most members are 14-21 is a bit odd.

Because most forums like OCUK have a high turnover of members, or at least a high turnover of active members. By it's very nature a site like OCUK will always attract more younger people, especially very young teenage boys that are into Tech. Unless you have any figures that say otherwise, i would tend to stand by what i said.

Firmly in, albeit for differing reasons than the average UK based OCUKer. Being in Gibraltar, the alternative would in no way shape or form be good for us, considering how our neighbours would react.

[thread=18083559]Voila![/thread]

There you go :p

Now you're just being awkward.
It's pretty obvious you based your opinion on what goes on in GD, it's also pretty obvious that the voters in that thread were GD regulars mainly.

Stop digging.

But i need the practice with this new shovel :D

Of course i did, after all this thread is in GD.................maybe you'd like to borrow my shovel ? :D

So a pretty pointless poll then wasn't it.....................shure you don't want that shovel ? :D

I always got the impression the forum attracted a lot of straight out of Uni, look at me I've got a degree types as it's primarily a willy waving forum.

I would think that most active members were in their late 20s to early 30s. Apart from John40, everyone posting on this page of the thread joined between 2002 and 2008.

Some recent good news for Brexiteers is that both Boeing and Avon will be setting up new headquarters in the UK, despite all the noise from the referendum. Avon's global HQ will move to the UK, Boeing's European HQ will now be the UK.

Interesting as well that the deal between Three and 02 will need to be cleared by Brussels, with the UK not allowed to make the decision that essentially only impacts people in the UK.
