AMD Polaris architecture – GCN 4.0

Well predictably this was their response to my post.

says it all.

IMO These people are megalomaniacs. It seems to me Kyle has a screw lose.

Lol. Yea, I have stopped going there for years now. Don't trust his reviews one bit.

He is probably a trump supporter :P

Your response was no more mature than theirs was. I dont know why you are surprised to get blocked from a site after hurling that kind of abuse at its owner.

It doesn't mater how i could have worded it, i didn't agree with him, the result would have been the same, might as well tell him exactly how i see it.

From HARDOCP article.

The Polaris 10/11 launch, and all of its problems, are set to become a future problem of Intel’s in what RTG believes will be a lucrative agreement that will allow Koduri and his men to slash the lines from Lisa Su and the rest of AMD.

As far as i am aware they always said summer/back to school period which we are entering now.

I think someone is just butt sore.

Not liking someone does not make their point invalid guys. Let's not make it personal.

Being objective the fact that AMD have seemed to royally mess up their last few GPU release does not fill me with confidence.

290/X reference coolers and the 2-3 month gap before decent AIB versions were made available.

Fury AIO cooler pump whine and the "overclockers dream" BS.

So until AMD release Polaris and we find out how it performs we would be best not making assumptions. IMHO.

 I think he means polaris 10 and polaris 11 not 10\november :p

I mean in regards to them saying that Polaris 10/11 is having a problematic launch, considering it has not even been launched. And the original period they stated for launch has not even arrived yet.

I found the bit about wanting to spin ati off from amd interesting, can't really see how that would work unless the intel thing is real..but i doubt amd would want that to happen.

But not being launched could be a sign of a problematic launch proving that the launch has been delayed... I think that makes sense

I stopped reading at "The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 and 1070 launch was a surprise to AMD".

There's no way in hell anyone anywhere was 'surprised' by a 1.56x performance per watt increase by going from 28nm to 16nm. If anything, as I've mentioned before, you'd expect a bit better than that.

It wouldn't work.
Koduri would have to be a massive idiot to believe he can fight Intel and Nvidia on his own. He's no idiot.

Its just Kyle trash talk, he's upset because he got rejected.

Why would Polaris trouble Intel??

Combined with Zen as an APU potentially it could.

This is one of many reasons Koduri wouldn't want to run independently from AMD, he would have the same problem Nvidia have, no X86 or X64 licence, so discrete products only, the difference between him and Nvidia is Nvidia have a healthy discrete market share, Koduri has nothing.

Again, he is not stupid. nor would he stay with AMD unless he believed in them, Intel would have him if they could.
