Horizon: Zero Dawn [PS4]

Spent the morning doing those pesky hunters lodge trials. Got them all done except the...Blast wire trial from the first hunting ground! The flamin Grazer's keep running the other way :o

That's the armour I mentioned above. It's not obtainable until very close to end game.

I think it's possible to do just the story missions up until you get the last power cell. I was the same or higher level as the story quests and I only did maybe three or four side quests and one cauldron. So I could have got that armour and then done the side quests and cauldrons later on, making more use of it. But I missed the second power cell. Aaaagh.

Is the second one in mother mountain?

What were the thunderjaw ones like? Those are the last two I need.

Yeah I had trouble with that Grazer one, kept second guessing the buggers.

Yes
You can go back and get that one, spawn to nearest save and gate will be shut, but turn around and run over that bridge. Once over it, run back and the gate should be open... strange but I had to do that.

They're not as hard as they sound.

1. Ravager vs Machines - Tearblast a ravager's cannon, and hit him with a few ice arrows to freeze him. Kill ravager quickly with the cannon (freeze amplifies damage), and then kill one pesky watcher nearby. You need to kill 2x machines with a ravager cannon.

2. Thunderjaw vs Ravager - Memorise the TJ's pathing and slide down the rope and run to a bush nearby. Override the TJ quickly as possible and then run to both ravagers, fire a few arrows at them and lure them back to the TJ and hide so that the TJ beats them up - it must get the kill for both ravagers so feel free to wittle down a ravager a bit.

3. Ravager Control - The opposite of 2 from what I recall. Override both ravagers and kill the TJ. Once you've got both ravagers under your control, freeze the TJ and wittle it down but make sure your pets get that kill.

The worst trial for me was the one where you must tie down 3x Glinthawks and then Crit strike them. Too many nearby adds and it was messy.

Edit: Just completed all the lodge trials and have 3 uber weapons (Lodge Ropecaster, Sling and Warbow) the latter which I'll mostly use!

Completed all the Cauldrons. The last one is an absolute bugger! But now I can override every machine
Also encountered Behemoths for the first time tonight. They are scary mofo's!

Mmm! I'm excited whats in store. Absolute bugger and scary. :D

Were you doing this on the hardest difficulty?

Got Platinum on this moments ago. I had to do the final mission because I never got one regarding getting help from all allies (the lodge was missing) so it's truly all over now :o Still can't stop thinking about the game and the storyline though. It was a great ride.

God no! I don't have the patience anymore to do stuff on hard. Just keep it on normal.

I'm now starting to find out what actually happened to humanity and what Zero Dawn actually is. It's actually quite interesting!

Heh! The Sigma Cauldron is so intense on the hardest difficulty.

I despise how things run out of your view so quickly at the same time turning then its hounding you down again. I'll need to check the controls as toggle is killing me with slow movements.

I'm also amazed the places the beasts can reach you when you think it isn't possible. Very steep hills. Huge rocks and boulders. They can really swipe you. Or worse, jump at you from a great distance over things.

What I'm surprised the most is why there are no sensitivity controls.
