I did not try 32GB 2X 16 on asrock yet.

I can say it's stable with lower capacity not a problem. I will try this Monday my testing stopped simply because I am at EK HQ in Slovenia since Wednesday.

Hi, is anyone having any luck with G.Skill Trident Z? I have 3000MHZ CAS14 32GB (2x16). they are not on the QVL for CH6, that I could see. Will I be able to boot at all with this memory?

Up until a couple of days ago I didn't even know about double and single rank ram... suffice to say my 16gb of Corsair Vengance is double ranked and my B350 Prime really isn't that keen on it.

I did manage to get in to windows at 2400mhz with some copied timings, but once I opened either Ryzen Master or Watt Man, it just went "all funny, like". So having lost the urge to tinker further I went back to 2133. Here it will stay until an update appears or I get tired of waiting and buy a different board.

when you say "all funny, like", that's exactly what I thought, except with more sweary words!

I have Cosair Vengeance LPX 2400 stuff thats happy to work at 2600 all day for years in my intel system, at 1.35v and cas15 settings, but in this Ryzen setup, is unstable at 2400 and cas16 settings, even at 1.4v!

I find that I can just about get semi reliable 3.8ish ghz on the 1700 with memory at 2133 but at 2400 it craps out pretty quickly. I might see about lossening the timings even more to something like 17-17-17-39 @ 2400 and see if that works?

Should boot Yeah but over 2400 may not be possible yet.
 
Just built my Ryzen system today.

Ryzen 7 1700 at stock
Asus Prime B350M-A (0502 BIOS)
16GB (2x8GB) G Skill Ripjaws V 3000MHz C14 (F4-3000C14D-16GVR)

Can confirm it runs at 2993MHz using the Asus DOCP profile using 1.35V :)

Did a 30 min Realbench stress test and no issues

Haven't tried OC yet as I'm still using the stock cooler. Might give it a bash later but my Noctua mounting kit arriving soon, I hope, for some real stuff!

RB isn't really a valid all-out memory stresser, especially for 30 minutes.
 
My personal choice would be ether one of the G.Skill kits, but at the moment it maybe a good idea to wait for a few UEFI updates before buying.

My opinion: absolutely no point getting any of those as you won't be able to utilize their speed anyway. Just get 16GB (2x 8GB) single rank sticks to start with as they give you higher chance to get them working. Four sticks and silly megahertz aren't the best bet at this point in time as there is still a lot of tweaking needed from MoBo manufacturers.

Coming from ASUS and AsRock the gigabyte interface confused me a little at first, too. If you have a XMP profile then simply selecting the profile will do the trick. If it takes a long time to boot then it's very possible the mem fell over and revert to stock.

If you set the frequency manually you might need to bump the mem voltage in advanced voltage menu. If it still fails then try upping the SOC voltage to +0.050 or +0.100.

Do these use Samsung or Hynix ICs? Can you do me a solid, and check using AIDA64?
