Asus Prime X370-Pro Owner's thread

Apologies some of you guys are having issues. We are working on a new BIOS, keep an eye out in the meantime. You may have to put the timings in to get the best memory speeds.

If you continue to have issues, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Kind Regards

If by some chance you come in here again, can you find someone to look into 64gb support?

I have HyperX HX430C15PB3K4/64. Completely random instability.

Was stable on Corsair 33gb lpx 2800 (running no higher than 2666).

Can't even get the 64gb stable down to 2133.

God, it's not even a case of the board struggling with 64gb.

It's just doesn't like this memory. Have tried down to single sticks and can't even run any of them single at 2666.

Getting tired of this boards **** support for ram

well i like the new bios, before i got 1806cb @4.1ghz with mems at 2400mhz, first boot at 4ghz with ram at 2133c15 on this new bios and i'm already getting 1801 :p

Hi all. I have been looking into why I get a very long delay between pressing power on and the actual post screen showing. Sometimes it can take up to 20 seconds before the actual post screen shows.

I read about turning off MRC or memory traininf in the DRAM timing options but there are no such options on this board.

Any ideas?

Buy another board?

Just kidding. If it's not there, not much we can do.

This board still needs plenty work bios wise

Do Asus have any loose idea when they might be releasing a new BIOS for this board with the latest AGESA update from AMD?

I just flashed the latest 0515 Bios. The temps for my 1700X seem to show less now and the CPU fan has calmed down a bit. It hasn't done anything for my memory though, I'm still stuck at 2666. If I try 2999 it doesn't boot and restarts and says the overclock was bad.

why does the asus uk website not have this. slackers! thanks for the link :)

that last bios was massive increase in performance. hopefully with this one my memory might do more than 2400

Nice OC you got there. Yeah it might improve some things, but not improved memory for me, only CPU temp for me.

Not sure but I think they update their websites slowly. When I got the 511 bios I had to get it from the US site as the UK site didn't have it, I think it'll come soon.

I have Vengeance CMK16GX4M2B3200C16W LPX as well. Updated to 0515 bios, but still stuck at max of 2667 on these:

(2x8GB), 1 Rank Timings are 18 18 18 18 36. 1.35v with DOCP on.

I'm guessing they'll probably work at some point (can't see any reason why they wouldn't) as they should

My board on 0511 doesn't like the 0515 file and refuses to flash it. Tried re-downloading it and no change.

You tried downloading it from another country's Asus site? Maybe the file got corrupt when extracting it or something so it's not being recognised.

I'm liking this bios, before when running Prime 95 my CPU fan would max out at over 1500rpm and now it doesn't go over 900rpm, it's much quieter now.

A new BIOS been out for days and I didn't event notice!

Will flash later, once some chores out the way.

Won't be playing extensively, as still waiting on 64Gb HyperX Ram to come.

What LLC settings are you guys using on this board ? I have been using auto mostly, since when I put manual voltage for the CPU to 1.4250 and LLC to level 3, hwinfo64 shows that the CPU voltage spikes to 1.48x when it should stay at 1.42x.
Or is it really true that hwinfo64 shows random numbers and no point in taking those too seriously ?

I'm using LLC on auto, I can't remember exactly what voltage I've put in but it's 3 notches up from 1.200V @ 3700 mhz. In HWinfo my voltage spikes up to 1.36V. I'm looking at the VDDCR CPU value under the motherboard not the CPU.

The 0515 bios wasn't available yesterday as I looked and flashed my newly installed 1700 yesterday.

It was on the international (.com) site first - took a while for the others to be updated.

Edit: I meant to say I've so far found no obvious difference with this new bios apart from the temp being a bit more stable, most importantly I still can't get my Vengeance LPX any higher than 2666.
