What film did you watch last night?

You understand I'm not the same person who rated it and Great Wall initially, right?

I haven't seen Great Wall.

I was questioning the general claim that you could review a movie objectively, not how it stacks up against Great Wall. (Which I haven't seen, by the way. ;) )

I'm still not convinced - certainly not that it's objectively one of the best movies of the year, which is what you claimed. I was wondering if there was some explanation, some kind of metric you would cite.

I know right? First time in a long while I've switched a movie off, it was incoherent. I felt bad scoring The Great Wall higher, but, at least I finished it.

Well, you missed one of the best gun fights in movie history and the most brilliant endings of the decade, it's up there with The Game, Shawshank, fight club.

Plus not sure how they got away with all that nudity in that night club scene uncensored.

I will endeavour to revisit it in time. Maybe it will be more enjoyable on a second go around.

I don't intend to change your opinion of a movie, everyone is entitled to their opinion but I think it would only be fair to a film to judge it after you have finished it. I think we can agree on that.

It's fine to find it so dull and can't finish it but in those instances, I wouldn't even rate it, out of respect of the movie.

Like I tried 3 times and still can't finish Under The Skin, but it's supposed to be a good film...guess I'll find out some other time.

watched first 3/4 of Sinister....hrmm dont think i will watch it to the end. Bit too scary for me lol. Its ok ive already read the synopsis. (and am now very glad i did not watch it to the end last night lol)

I might watch it in brightest daylight and then watch something like the Smurfs afterwards...
