What film did you watch last night?

The Founder - interesting origin story of the McDonald's Empire. Michael Keaton was excellent at portraying Ray Kroc. The founder of the corporation and his methods of building and"acquiring" this multi billion empire. Made you feel for the McDonalds brothers and their relationship with Kroc.

Ray Kroc did well building this empire expanding the business to where it is today however as human being he was an absolute scumbag and sickening he got away with so much.

Oh you mean 'The Guardians' that I gave a detailed review in post #40854 :p

Our four heroes are as distinctive as their unique abilities:

* Hayastan Earthquake (rock throwing fella with beard)
* Bear Person (King from Tekken)
* Gymnasti Boy (Winter soldier wannbe with a dash of nightcrawler)
* Moskva Lady (eye candy)

Sure I have seen most of the CG assetts on the Unity store :D

And those subtitles... they look like they were translated by someone who doesn't speak English or Russian, but had access to Google Translate for a few hours.

:p

The Handmaiden

The setup was good but then it failed to tell a decent story after that. It plodded along at a dreary pace and there were far too many flashbacks and narration scenes explaining things. It really thought it was smarter than it was.

Very much style over substance.

5/10

Dog Day Afternoon - 6/10

Al Pacino shouts his way through another film. It was interesting enough though as it was based on a true story. He's a great actor, just makes me wince when he shouts!

Sod it, I'm going lol, something to do and it's 5months away so something to look forward to.

Lol you need to go to a AA meeting :D I told the rest of the family this movie is officially Ray certified.

Monster Truck - quite good family fun. ET meets Herbie. Enjoyed it more than I thought. Some of the effects was quite good. 7/10.

Gene suppression via food supply. They're there, just controlled in the population and used as weapons by private interests. Probably took it from the source - comics.
