It may not have reached that part yet (would be strange) but it was a strange install - and if you haven't selected an option, pick critical updates only.
z77 has native usb3 support and ivybridge compatibility out of the box - you may have to upgrade the z68 (shouldn't be an issue - but you've not exactly had the best luck).
Although, it is revision 2.0 so may have ivybridge support out of the box - would need to check.
Being the Rev 2.0 it has PCIe16 3.0 - unlike the earlier revision which was 2.0.
Ideally you would get a z77 - but if you could snatch that for under £50 it would be a good buy.
Look up the rev 2.0 if you have time and compare specs to your last board - see if your missing anything that you use (USB 3 looks to be native on the rev 2.0)
Haha I can stretch to afford it, it's an upgrade that would keep me going for a few years so it may be worth it. That's what I'm trying to tell myself anyway
