What have you done to your car today?

Tipped a can of BG44k in to the tank and filled it up, whether or not it does anything we shall see, but it was cheap enough and I don't know what petrol the cars been ran on for the last 12 years. Since I've had it its only had premium but I figure it couldn't hurt to try and clean it a bit. Seems to be the only cleaner with a bit of science behind it too, but again no loss if it does sod all!
 
Nothing apart from buy for the 911 this week:
B4 rear shocks.
Meyle coffin arms.
HAAS ignition coils.

Get them fitted in 2 weeks time at DW Performance.

I'm trying to sort out stereo wiring but so far completely cocking it up.
 
If it's gone within 2 weeks I'd be asking if the first replacement was fitted properly or up to a good enough standard from the manufacturer, unless it was clearly hit by an object.

It has 10 months MOT, thats good enough for me to get rid of the black one. :p
 
Driveshafts refurbed and a fuel cut defender fitted. New boost controller added and the clocks changed to MPH :)

Today I tried to work out what was wrong with my car, I suspected a engine mount bush, but no it was the actual mount :o

The MK2 was better in pretty much every way. The only thing this MK1 does better is attract attention. Some of it unwanted.

But I kind of knew it would be like that, I just wanted a MK1 so I got one.

What I didn't know at the time is that I was Acme-ing it up again and walking into a scam where I'd end up with some old shed. :p

Oh by the way, oil burning report after putting in thicker oil and some additive - Bad. Like, engine on the brink of catastrophic failure kind of bad. :eek:
 
4 hours today giving it a nice summer dose of tlc.

Forgot just how easy Tripple was to apply and buff off, I say buff, but a single wipe removes the residue once dry.

Tripple is the polish I usually use! I love it. It has wax in it too so it feels silky smooth and water beads up quite nicely without putting any product on top! :)

I say usually cos I've been using different stuff recently on the DA.
 
I'm not a big fan of Tripple :( Better products on the market for less IMHO. Plus I don't really have anything to hide with the paint so haven't got a use for a glaze which Tripple mostly is.
 
It's also a wax, hence its use. It's no way near as long lasting as 918, but it works well on Carbon Black, gives it a constant deep wet look, exactly what you want on that colour. Didn't have another hour to kill, so didn't apply the 918 on top. I'll leave that for next time.

My ceramic paint protection is only on half the car now after having the front wing replaced, and surrounding panels blended, then the other wing removed, cleaned and protected against rust. The front end was lacking any beading qualities, shall we say.
