Gran Turismo "Sport"

Looks like £43.99 to me, or is there some discount code available?

Also, with regards to the additional cars, can you 'earn' these somehow in the standard game or is it a case of buying a special edition or never having them at all?

Discount code 'PRE5' for £5 off.

Instant access to cars and in game currency isn't worth £6 IMO.

Ah ok ta. You say "instant" access as if the included cars can still be accessed later in the standard game, the special editions just give you them straight away, is that the case?

Couldn't give you an answer on that but I can't imagine them entirely locking out Imprezas, Mustangs, the Ford Focus etc as exclusive pre-order bonuses.

The specific preorder car models/liveries may not be attainable through the standard game however. I'll grab the standard edition regardless.

Going to wait until it drops in price, game just isn't grabbing me like Forza 7 or project cars 2. Those two games look to have more content and more for me to get into then GT sport. I might be proved wrong. Wait and see.

Has their been any news how big the single player is? or should I wait for GT7 if that even is in development...

What annoys me is the resources they put in to features like photo mode or driving on the moon and now a livery editor.

When basic fundamentals like sound and low res car models have been an issue since GT5 Prologue.

From what I've seen, single player is mostly just challenges, time trials, driving school and licence tests, which is pretty disappointing.

Hopefully PD are hiding some good AI races in the full release because it'd be ridiculous to put all their eggs into just purely online racing.

Although, all of these special edition variants of GTS are getting a bit silly now. Part of the charm with GT is to start off with a second hand banger (1990 Nissan Primera of course!) and eventually building your car empire.
I don't see the appeal of having several high end cars and being thrown 2,000,000 Cr at the very beginning of the game. Little to no incentive to progress.

I've pre-ordered the Smyths £38.99 standard version for that reason.

The gear changes are just wrong.

Was watching the needle on that last vid and it just jumps from 3000 to 7000. There's no pause in the engine noise mid change and yeah I agree about the tyre noise. I'll be giving this a miss. :(

It was funny watching that video as they get excited over the metallic speckles.
