North Korea

I 'think' technically once it goes over a certain altitude it's not Japanese airspace although appreciate that's splitting hairs. If your neighbour was launching mortars over your house you'd be rightfully peeved. Maybe enough to go round there and punch them on the nose. Problem is the guy is launching mortars over your house and has threatened to burn it down, who knows what the mad ******* is capable of.

are we pretending nothing has been said to the neighbour to antagonize him ?

Firing a missile over a country into their airspace doesn't contravene international law?
Surprises me.

There is no international law shared that controls where airspace is controlled by a nation, that said, each country has it's own idea where it begins and where it doesn't.

That said, to test these missiles, it has to fly over someone and I think we all done it to each other.

North Korea seems to be choosing the safest path for it to fly, too far to the north and it could hit land, south has too much land and islands where it could hit, while it flying east takes it between the two land masses and into open sea.

What North Korea is doing is Terrorism on a world scale, sanctions are not working, they never worked and adding more sanctions now is too late, military action is long overdue.

Not sure the trajectory of the missile involved in this case only the peak height but its generally regarded as a good thing to do to notify countries if you send something over them beneath around 160km height which NK never do.

China puts up with nk because they don't want us military based on their border.

Indeed, and by rolling in and taking over, they will have put US military on the border.

China just wants stability, they don't want to have to deal with the potential refugee crisis and mass migration north from NK.

Politically NK is a hot potato there hence the light touch and avoiding anything too extreme that might upset the apple cart/markets
