Volte seems to be always showing on my note8, I can enable wifi calling too but not needed where I currently am, it seems to use more battery when I had it on my S7E so am hesitant to leave it enabled.

excellent! are you using EVR firmware on it? or the Generic unbranded?
 
Can't get any SDcards to be detected on my note , they work in other phones so I'm a little confused. Performed a reset to no avail so ordered a new Samsung card to test. Fingers crossed the handsets not faulty.

Possibly EE supplied. Came from a 3rd party I deal with for our work phones.

Is anyone else having an issue with hdr content on YouTube on the note 8? It gets very jerky and slow for me. Netflix is perfect though.
 
Decided to order the Note 8 for £200 upfront and £29 per month for 24 months (unlimited calls, texts and 12gb data on O2).

Hopefully I made the right decision :D
 
To be honest - you were going to be winning with either of those phones.

Need to upgrade my S6. To those who chose the note 8 over the s8 plus - what made you justify the ~£250 difference?

My understanding is it's the stylus , ram and camera on the back but with sacrifice to battery life - prob the most important thing.

Are you glad you picked it ?
 
Depending what deals are out there I don't think it's worth buying out right some times. My note 8 is on a voda retention deal and came with 32gb a month data, entertainment package( I chose Spotify) and it cost me £43.40 a month which works out at £1042 over the two years. If I factor in how much a Vodafone SIM only deal is for less data and the entertainment pack the phone Will have cost me £480. That's how I justified the note 8 over the S8+.
 
Having a funny issue on my phone. The memo function when I take the s pen out with the phone locked will let me write a memo fine but the option up the top to attach to always on display or save the note don't seem to work. The cursor is there and active but doesn't do anything. They will eventually if I keep tapping them but it can take 30 odd seconds before it registers it been tapped.
Anyone had the same issue? When the phones unlocked the s pen works fine in that area of the screen.
