The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

Few more episodes of Attack on Titan last night. Just finished episode 5. .

My god, the ending left me with goosebumps!

Ok, Girls Und Panzer the movie is fun :)
I'd forgotten how enjoyable the TV series was, the movie feels like a feature length episode with a long crazy tank battle in it:)

I'm going to try and watch Your Name tonight.

Watched Fireworks at the cinema last night.

I swear Your Name has just ruined all other anime films for me :p

Fireworks has some very pretty visuals, a lovely relaxing vibe, and a nice score (apart from the weird pop video section near the middle), but ultimately it is very flat, especially when compared to Your Name.
There is no character development, or even logical explanations for the actions of the characters, and the ending is naff.

5/10

So my 'at the cinema' anime findings thus far are:

Your Name > A Silent Voice > Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale > Napping Princess > Fireworks

i finally managed to watch Your Name.

I wish I'd made it to the cinema to see it, it is beautifully made and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It makes me want to sit down and watch 5cm per second again now (anyone know if it's getting a blu-ray release here?), and reminded me I don't have Guarden of

Yes, it is a truely excellent film (although I would have cut the very end personally). I assume you mean Garden of Words ... it's another good film but share more with 5cm/s in feel than Your Name in my opinion.

Currently working my way through Little Busters! at the moment which is very typical given the people behind it.

The Blu-ray release was cancelled, DVD only in the UK. There was a EU release from Kaze, but no English subs. The only legit copy on Blu-ray with English subs is the Hong Honk version, which is region A locked.

No, there was also a "Global Edition" BD which was released in Japan which is region free, has English and Japanese audio tracks as well as subtitle tracks in multiple languages (the Hong Kong release only had subtitles in English and Chinese). The listing can be seen here (legit source). It also had a bi-lingual booklet in it.

I should have stated available, my bad, I assumed that was long out of print.

But a quick check shows it is available at a price https://solarisjapan.com/products/t...meter-5-centimeters-per-second-global-edition.

Thanks.

Finished JoJo's Bizzare Adventures Diamond and it was a hard slog, I really enjoyed Stardust but the changes they've made to Diamond is like a completely different show and all the parts I liked from Stardust had gone with the exception of stand users but they are miles different aswell.

Started watching Black Clover yesterday, Asta is a bit annoying. But if you can bare him, then the anime is fun to watch.

Aye, I meant Garden of Words (posting when tired...)

It's available, and in stock with a normal 20+% discount, from Amazon JP

That's tempting, although I'm not sure I can justify what would work out at about £40 on it.

Hopefully they'll do a UK release at some point on Blu-ray.

Watched "Your Name" it is a great movie, absolutely beautiful. I watched the dubbed version and I have to say the songs sounded silly so watching in the original language with English subs may offer better experience.

In any case, lovely movie.
