Is it ok to be proud to be white?

Why would you be proud to be white, or black, or straight, or gay, or Scottish, English, Spanish, whatever. Be proud that you've achieved something not that someone managed to make a mess in your mum.

I don't understand what's to be proud of. You could just have likely been born in Somalia, or Argentina, or China. It's not like you put any work into it.

Exactly this - I’m either proud of myself or I’m not. I’m not going to be told I should be this or I shouldn’t be that by someone who’s view is coloured by a historical guilt that bothers only them. From a personal point of view my ethnicity doesn’t come into it - there’s good and bad in all races and none have any in-built moral superiority, despite what the Left would have us believe.

This really. I'm not proud of being white but not am I ashamed of being white, I'm just white. It's bit like asking are you proud of having lungs, it doesn't make any sense.

Not really. One group wants to dictate your every thought, word and deed. The other doesn’t. I’ll leave you to work out which is which.
 
You can be gay and proud whilst being fully heterosexual and having any skin tone whatever. It is word acquisition by minorities that confuses the issue.

So how is it that there are hundreds of hours of footage of SJWs on YouTube, university syllabuses and corporate policies and procedures covering this stuff? @Domi too.

I would agree that the extent to which it really, truly affects everyday life is probably minimal as you can just ignore it or toe the line if you don’t like it. However, there is a creeping incrementalism about this stuff.
 
Btw folks here saying they're proud of achievements not identity have cut right to it without realising. A lot of ppl measure success by who you are not by what you've done.

Yes but the majority of it I just think "on balance that sounds fair enough" otherwise it can quite easily be ignored and laughed off as garbage.
 
Even if there is hundreds of hours worth of this PC ,SJW stuff on YouTube and facebook etc that does not make it anyway a majority view.

On both sides of the spectrum you get extremist views but these are the minority.

Most of us look at these issues and basically agree that everyone should be treated equally regardless of gender , race or sexuality.
However things like racism , misogyny and homophobia are real and some people feel very strongly about these subjects and we do need rules and laws to counter these.

It is far too simplistic to brush this off as all ********** and PC nonsense and indeed as racism ,misogyny and homophobia.

Some of it is and some of it is not but understand the media and in particular the gutter press really want you to think that we have 2 sides at war when really the vast majority of us actually believe the same thing.
