I didnt get to vote but it would be a yes from me.

The cards new tech looked impressive and i for one will enjoy it.

I do want to know the performance vs my 1080ti but im sure its going to be a good step up, but until reviews are out we wont truly know.

BF V looked very good with the new reflections etc, cant wait.

People are free to spend their money how they wish but just bear in mind for every sale you give Nvidia your just enabling them further increase prices.

Edit
WTF? These cards aren't coming out until September?!? Good grief it goes from bad to worse! I'm so glad I don't have time mess around with my PC like I used to.

Prices are getting outrageous on loads of things these days

Houses/rent - because of continual low base rates and foreign buyers
Food - because of global population and poor currency performance
Mobile phones - because people stupidly keep buying them
Cars - because people need to keep buying them due to terrible public transport infrastructure
Motorbikes - because ...?
Fuel - because of a complete lack of motivation from government to become self-sustaining in terms of energy
Etc Etc

Guess which one applies to electronics in general. ;)

I would be happy to drop a $1000 on a Ti if it had a significant performance boost over my 1080ti.

However no benchmarks, no claims......

I will need to see fps comparisons before I shell out.

The jury is out for me on this one.

A funny thing to remember with polls - "would you buy a 2080Ti" how many wanted to but wouldn't have anyway, and how many who replied never had an intention because they weren't planning to upgrade.

I think if you'd asked at the time of the 1080 launch the results have been different due to their being no Ti version until months later. From my PoV it might now be much more cost effective to lag behind the curve, buy a 1080 Ti for say £350- £400 when they reach that price point.

If sales of the new RTX series are slow, that time might be a long time coming, but if Nvidia do as rumoured still have a lot of product to get rid of there might well be some bargains coming for new unused product before late September.

It would be interesting to hear other posters thoughts on the price future of the 1080Ti both new & used.

indeed a binary yes/no did scupper an otherwise interesting poll

for the record i would be an "yes absolutely right now if priced at £750 or below" a "no sodding way at current prices" and a "depends how good it is when benched for anything between £750 and £1k".

Pre-ordered the Gigabyte Windforce OC, 3 years warranty (UK) the rest only seem to have 2 so should help with resell, and I have a Gigabyte Aorus broad, £1049, less than I paid for my Titan Xp - which will be going up for sale shortly, once I've seen some benchmarks.

Why no boost clocks anywhere for this card?

I voted No, as I only bought the 1080Ti in November. Will see how it runs with the Pimax 8K when I get that. If it gives good results I'm going to skip the 20XX series cards altogether or just pick up one cheaper later. The pricing seems to be going Apple-ward, because they know whatever the price, some people just have to get the new shiny one...not me thanks, I'll wait it out.

I will say the one thing that the Turing has done really well is the FE cooler. That really does look like a lovely piece of kit. Looking forward to seeing what the breakdowns of it are because it should become the standard for every FE release from now.

I enjoy doing them, so will deffo do a review of some sort.

Look forward to it :D. If the performance is there I will stretch to one I think. Had my 1080Ti a good while now (since release).

The performance will be the big deciding factor for me, needs to be a good step up. Recently gone for a full silver/white/black themed build and the MSI with its silver backplate would fit perfect :p.

My current GX doesn’t quite fit colour wise was going to spray it silver but will just sell it now I think.

No - Other (Please state)
I plan on skipping this generation since my 1070 still performs good and instead see what we have on offer next year.

I expect at least 20% increase in performance and hopefully 30% in current games. Not that my 1080Ti (same as yours) is struggling at 3440x1440 but the lack of anything new for ages made my mind up and RayTacing being a big thing for me. Price is crazy though but expected due to the lack of anything from AMD. I am a bit of an MSI fan also and love my Gaming X, so decided on the same for the 2080Ti Gaming X

I'm on the fence - if I see a decent enough deal I might buy but at least half of me wants to hold out for 7nm GPUs.

Houses/rent
Food
Mobile phones
Cars
Motorbikes
Fuel
Etc Etc

I haven't really seen that aside from housing/rent. Sure there are some crazy expensive halo phones but it is still possible to buy a great bleeding edge phone at the old price point (unless you absolutely must have the latest Apple offering at all costs). Food price increases is mostly retailers taking advantage of people not shopping around/sticking to old habits - my bill has been pretty static for years with a little effort to hit the deals.

Despite some eye watering increases to car prices overall they are more affordable than ever - especially a lot of lines are depreciating crazy amounts at just one year old. Fuel has actually come down a bit lately though it still keeps bouncing off upper 120s and trying to go up again.

For me if it had 30% increase in FPS over my 1080ti I would pull the trigger and order one.....just not a FE though....I made that mistake with my 1080ti and had to spent another few quid and a Saturday morning strapping a EVGA hybrid kit to it to control temps.

Good for you Gregster, I'm liking what I see from it as well. Just worried about performance but we'll see.

These are the prices we are going to get now, the 2180Ti will be pushing 1800 next I'm betting. There will be nothing but rage from now onwards, there was for a 1080Ti, now look lol.

The newer FE has the dual fans, so should be cooler and quieter. I loved the look of the old style but man they were noisy buggers. I used to watercool everything, so wasn't an issue but too lazy for that nowadays, so I need a decent cooler on a card that is quiet (ish).

With the rumoured terrible performance in Shadow of the Tomb Raider with 30-60 FPS at 1080P on a 2080Ti I'd have to change my vote, which was always contingent on stellar performance, to no.
