Are people expecting it to be **** or not? Because ever since The bearded man left the team, the story has gotten unexciting and honestly I think I’d only watch this season out of a desire to finish rather than actual interest.

(I know they’re running on fumes trying to finish the story with what little rr gave them, but man...)

I'll just re-quote what I said back in January which most seemed to agree with.

There is a noticeable drop in story and writing quality at the point where the series overtook the books.

While the last few seasons haven't been poor on spectacle, there have been gaping plothole and continuity issues which werent there so prominently when it was a fairly direct book adaptation.

I guess it’s not worth arguing over really, a good show or movie could come from a prequel or even sequel depending on how it goes.

Plenty of room to explore a story without too much worry, though if it’s as expensive it’d probably not last long.

Rewatching season 7, really looking forward to Sunday night now.

Has anyone else got the 20th May off work for the finale? No way i could sit through a days work not knowing the ending.

Nope, Luckily I work flexible hours so I just watch them in the morning before work. Far easier than trying to avoid spoilers for the whole day.

I think some of the issue is that there is less story to tell. The game was played by so many characters in earlier seasons but most are dead and some of ones left have grouped up.

Still, I don’t think it can possibly live up to the hype so there will be plenty of disappointed people.

How long is each episode?
Of the upcoming series?

:)

Via HBO, jazzed up by others...

No because I'm an adult, also we will do what we always do and record the series and then when they have all aired just do a binge watch.

The only thing I don't record and watch after airing is sports events, everything else I record and then I can forward through the adverts to save both time and annoyance.

The show has never been consistently great. It has had some stand out moments, but then many episodes of absolute dross. The pacing has never felt right, and that became super apparent in the last season where all of a sudden it went from one extreme (slow story telling) to another (everything kicking off all of a sudden).

Apart from season 1 the show has lacked a decent moral character and that has actually hurt it really. Everyone in the show is basically an ahole, Even John Snow or Jamie Lannister are a bit in the grey zone there, and nothing compared to Ned.
Im sure once is all said and done and people can reflect on the whole story arc, I would imagine the events at the end of Season one will be seen as huge mistake for the show as a whole.

The show will likely be remember more for its production quality than the story telling.

Just finished watching the season 7 finale as a recap. I had forgotten half of it!

It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out. I forgot about Cersei’s dealings, surely she will have the upper hand once the rest finish fighting in the north?

Whats that got to with being an adult?

No need for such a bitchy reply, have a beer or something.

Time of the month is it?

Brienne is probably the closest, fairly honorable and noble, almost blindly so though.

It's 11.03 on 12th April, it that the time of the month you're referring to?

The fact that I can be patient and wait for things rather than have to have everything immediately. I am looking forward to watching this but would never put my life on hold for something as trivial as a TV show.

Being Friday and the wife away until tomorrow tea-time I shall in fact be having quite a few beers this evening once my days work is complete, cheers and good health.

Do you think truly whiter than white moral characters can feasibly exist in reasonable numbers in the world of GOT? It is incredibly violent and political and to survive you have to be at least a little ruthless. Let go of your naive idealism then you might enjoy it more like almost everyone else in the world watching it seems to be doing. :p

Just finished my rewatch. To me, the story has stayed strong but how they dealt with the passage of time throughout series 7 was terrible.
