** NEW SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G7/G9 MONITORS 27-49" AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER **

Mine was 7th of July so not feeling so bad given you've been waiting a month longer!
Still, wish we could get some updates... £1279 is a lot of money to spend on nothing :)

New message from OC regarding my order for 27" G7 placed on 4th July. I was 33rd in the queue:

"Unfortunately you missed that allocation by 5 orders. You're now 5th in our queue, so should be next to receive once stock arrives which we're expecting by the 3rd August."

Hope it helps anyone who ordered at a similar or later date.

Does anyone know what causes the monitor to go nuts with this picture mentioned in Reddit? https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/c...ey_g7_flicker_trigger_open_and_drag/?sort=new
I was also messing around with the settings on the monitor while having this website open
https://rog.asus.com/wallpapers/
When I adjusted Black Equalizer between 8-10 the whole screen get's messed up with that web page open. If I minimize it and open for example explorer the picture is messed up there too.

It does not happen on my ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q.
I also did not have any flickering issues with the ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q due to the G-Sync Module. I am seriously considering returning my G7 and wait for something else.

Interestingly thats the only time ive seen any issue on my G7, but I also get the same issue on my second monitor which is a super old Dell E207WFP. I think that monitor is a TFT but not 100% sure. Either way maybe that picture seems to affect the Black Equalizer on the G7, turn that to max or min and it seems to go away so hopefully a firmware fix? Ive never noticed it on anything until the posts you linked. Odd!

3rd August ey, Hope tomorrow is accurate like we were told :)

I suspect the estimate of tomorrow is actually the pitiful amount of stock they've already had this week and shipped out.

This whole thing is a shambles, I expected better from Overclockers, it's why I came back here. My order went through on the morning of the 8th July, so I'm not expecting my delivery this side of September, if I'm lucky. Starting to wonder if the pre-order price was worth it, given it's been available elsewhere for immediate shipping.

I really hope they've been telling the truth or they've lied (yet again) to a good few pre order customers. I agree in wondering if I should've just paid the extra £100 and gotten it elsewhere but earlier than here. It's annoying in that my second monitor is borrowed and must be returned soon so the delays are getting rather annoying.

not sure why this is the fault of OCUK, Samsung distribute the stock not OCUK.

It's the fault of OCUK for not ordering enough stock to cover demand and it's bite them in the bottom.

They could order a million units but Samsung are in control of distribution so it's nothing to do with OCUK they can't control that. Same goes for other companies.

Today's G9 review on Linus YT channel said he has heard nothing more of the rumoured recall (I think the G9 issue was heat causing something like a panel to move or crack) and I heard nothing period of a G7 recall.

I have 1 week left to find out as most places are now 15days to return correct?

They should have just stuck in a Hardware G-Sync Module and charged £50-100 more and it would have worked.

Nah, it’s already overpriced, should have one by default at this price.

With the quality and performance of this next gen VA panel, part of me wishes they went the whole 9 yards and made it HDR 1000, FALD 300+ zones. I would pay good money for that.
