** NEW SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G7/G9 MONITORS 27-49" AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER **

Hi . I am Iranian, sorry, my English is not good
I ordered the monitor a week ago, but after ordering, I realized that the monitor has a flickering problem, friends, I am very upset about this issue, and because I ordered it, I can not cancel it.
What do you think I should do?
Friends, is the flickering problem really annoying? I'm honestly sensitive and the slightest problem disappoints me

I bought an samsnug g7 odyssey 32inch monitor

You can cancel it. Just phone them up and cancel. It will wake a little while to be processed but you can use that time to discover what other monitor you want in it's place. I have no idea about a flickering problem. Are you sure about that? Doesn't sound right.

Unless you see it in the flesh you cannot be sure, the curve has grown on me coming from a 27" 1800R Curve and many comments online state the same.

Do you really have any flickering problems?
I have heard many complaints from monitor owners about flickering in reddit forums

You will need to see for yourself no one can answer that unless it turns out the whole batch are faulty.

You can return it for any issues/reasons during for 14 days.

Well my 27" G7 finally arrived today. I've assembled it (only breaking 3 of the stupidly fragile plastic lugs on the different covers that go on the back) and I'm now trying to fit it on my desk neatly between my 2 remaining 24" 1080P panels. As predicted, it is larger than I was expecting, I think if I had swapped for the 32" it would have been far too big!

Now to find out if the panel is good or if there are any issues. Wish me luck!

Good luck, let us know about Flickr Monitor

I've recently set one of these up for a friend (27") - Before the firmware update it had the dreaded flicker too that the 32" is known for. However, after the firmware update - his is now flicker free on every game we have tried. It's a gorgeous monitor, but with so many issues it makes me hesitant to take the leap myself - thats for sure!

I got a 27 it worked great from the start didn’t take long to get used to it’s flicker free and I’ve updated it and still flicker free looks great. I didn’t put the back cover on or the diffuser.

Got to game with the 27" G7 last night, on F1 2020. Monitor is near-perfect, ran some tests and so far have not found any pixel issues. I did see what I think was a very tiny flicker issue. Almost can't tell if it's just the lighting in the game, or the monitor.

I do want to update the firmware, as this unit I think is an earlier build with an earlier firmware.

My question is - what is the best available firmware currently and where do I get that from?

Also got a few games on my G7 27" last night and also noticed slight flickering whilst playing Escape From Tarkov. After turning adaptive sync off I haven't noticed it since. I am running a slightly old GPU (GTX 1060) and only getting max 50fps so I'm out of the g sync range. Other than that absolutely love the monitor so far.

My firmware is also 1004 so needs updating.

I think this is what you need: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/odyssey-gaming-monitor-g7-series

Yeah I'm only running a GTx1080 which I only put in 2 months ago (to a 7 year old rig that did have a GTx670). I was getting a solid 100FPS in F1 2020 with maximum settings (I have the in-game FPS capped at 100 currently, seeing how far I can push things). Monitor is still pretty much on default settings, so G-Sync/variable refresh/adaptive sync will be turned on still.

Most of the problem monitors were reportedly FB02-type
