Both order times for me were the same... Maybe go with the email as that's associated with the order number?
Appreciate the comment, especially helpful from guys who are in a similar position with 1070's too.
The order number at the top of the email has nothing to do with any number in my account or even Paypal payment, in fact my Paypal detail even has the Invoice number which matches my OC order number.
I think order number in email is just that emails number as it has no relation whatsoever to anything else.

So considering my order number is 586124x so queue order around 1240 and there are 23 different 3080s to choose from let's halve that to 12 varieties to account for unequal distribution. That would mean around my position there might be 107 orders ahead of me.

I'd also guess its safe to assume at least a third (and maybe more like half) of the orders are split between the cards that had in stock etas as the end of last week and early next week (both MSI cards and the Asus TUF, can't remember if there were others), especially since I think many people who hadn't checked here thought they were delivery ETAs (hopefully a lesson learned there to list as "limited stock expected on" rather than "eta", but maybe I'm just grumpy since the MSI Trio was the one I wanted).
So, if people ordered other cards they might have much better odds of getting one sooner (so, November rather than this time next year
)Worst part is for me is this is my first build. I was hoping to use it ASAP for some heavy 3D rending of multidimensional datasets for my research. We have a workstation at my research building with a quadro p6000 so I can make it work. It’s shared and a bit outdated though. I’m thinking of buying a cheap gpu just to get my pc built in the interim. Ryzen 9 3900x build (substantionally better than the outdated xeon v5 in the workstation we have)

I have both Amazon pay and OC emails regarding the payment authorization at 15:15, and my OC order says 15:15. But my amazon pay order with the order ID says "order time 14:34"
Sadly not as simple as that, as not all cards are in stock and some cards had way more pre-orders than others when I called yesterday.
I accidentally ordered 2 different brands (ASUS TUF and Palit) and the guy on the phone at OC told me there were significantly more orders for ASUS as Palit isn't as popular a brand.
I'm not particularly fussy about the brand I get so I cancelled the TUF order and I'm sticking with Palit.
Got one in my basket at 1405 but did not manage to checkout till 1513. Geoforce Eagle OC Order number 58619XX
Bit pointless and a large number of people never received a Confirmation email, including me. I still have an order though as it is my Account and payment taken.
