Cancelled my order for a 5800x that was coming next week, I just don’t really need it.

My 3080 isn’t being held back by my 2700x so seems pointless to get a new motherboard and cpu for £600 when the improvements will be minimal in games at 1440. I’ll wait till amd released the non x versions and make my mine up then.

The ones who are looking for 5950X. A popular bundle selling competitor has some stock of 5950x bundles at good prices given all the madness elsewhere. Got to be quick though.:p

Sweet :)

managed to bag :
AMD Ryzen 9 5950X Sixteen Core 4.9GHz, ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING Motherboard CPU Bundle

There was only 2 available, still a chance for someone to bag one :D i will once received this week
sell the board on with my current 3950x :) and swap in my 5950x cpu :D

cheers :D

Had to do it? Fair enough. Hopefully the guy with a gun to your head goes away.

Had this is basket ready to check-out

Heart says get it, head says stop being stupid you don't need it for gaming!

Think i'll sit tight for my 5900X pre-order(s) to arrive. I have two on order from different places and a Ryzen 5 3600 at the moment.

Yeah, I did contemplate getting 5600x but reckon 5900x will do nicely for streaming whilst gaming and looks like it'll run cooler than 5800x. 1st time dipping my toes into AMD waters (like many others if expect) so quite excited to have a play with it!

I have a 2700k with a 3080 on a 3840 x 1440p monitor. I've been waiting for my new PC to play Doom Eternal, do you think I should just play it anyway, have you tried it? Doom(2016) is smooth as butter on everything maxed but I think that is a particluarly GPU reliant game, Pubg isn't very clever - even on low settings.

Just realised you have an AMD 2700x and I have a Intel 2700k - nvm. :)

Doom eternal ran at about 200fps on a 4790k with 2080ti, maxed at 3440x1440.
You certainly wont need a new CPU to plsy it unless your looking to get 800fps or something in 720p :D

Hope you guys waiting on Zen 3 stock aren't waiting too long. I managed to get a 5600x and MSI X570 Tomahawk last Wednesday for £426 but now I'm waiting on RAM. I could get a 4x8gb kit but really I want the 2x16gb 8pack Team RAM kit which is out of stock until 27th Nov
