***The Official Dying Light 2 thread***

Yet another game where every handhold is painted yellow. Why do developers think gamers are walnut brained.
Maybe because a significant portion are

They should have switch for such things so it can be turned off.

Damn, those RT graphics look insane. However, the performance hit is pretty big! I've got a 3090 and a 9900k (both OC'd under water), but at my res 3840x1600 I can see that with everything max, 60fps is wishful thinking.

I'm tempted to just rebuy it again, yeah it's a few quid more expensive now on cdkeys but hey, that's the way it is sometimes eh. 3080 Ti and 12700KF is itching to try those RT everything settings with DLSS quality. I note in his video above on DF their RT optimised settings at 1440P with DLSS quality is getting over 80FPS, and that's with a 10900K and 3080, so I should be pulling even more at 3440x1440 - I'm really curious to the point I'm about to say to hell with it.

Lol, well Techland did say they fixed 1000 bugs in the patch and then addressed over 1000 more stuff so I would hope after the patch that the game is "sorted".

Not sure wether to get this on PC OR PS5. Not much shooting so was leaning towards PS5 for the movement. pc is a ryzen 3700x and 2070S at 1440.

It has a night timer...so what developer/designer thought that was a good idea?

I hate timers in games.

Gotta hope that gets patched out or its a no buy for me.

Timers force a play style on you. I hate that.

If my character wants to case a mission first and work out a plan, a timer prevents it.

It's a stupid mechanic.

Plus co-op remains a big question.

So many pre-purchasers have been bitten by games before, why do people still pre-purchase?
