Least the PS5 remains almost silent, my PS4 Pro always sounded like a jet engine.

About 3 hours in and so far it's Horizon Tomb Raider.
Small puzzle areas (Tombs)
Loads of collectables.
Areas you need to come back and actively blocked off to because you don't have X.
Larger areas to uncover and clear before moving onto the next one.
Have lost most of the day to this. It’s glorious. So often I just marvel at how far gaming, especially console gaming, has come. The story hasn’t hooked me quite as much as the first, but then I didn’t expect it to, but the side quests are almost more charming than the main story. I’ve entered no mans land and it’s so atmospheric and quite unnerving. I’m trying to stay away from the main story.
It’s the hardest I’ve seen my PS5 work based on the heat output.
Finding ‘normal’ to be exactly the right challenge for me so far - probably on the easier side of most recent games I’ve played.
I’ve encountered a good few bugs so far, although immersion breaking rather than game breaking.
I know how to take on a Thunderjaw, I did it in the first game. *SPLAT*
In a way that annoyed me. As we had all the gear end of the first game. I wished they made it in a way the game could check for save files to see what progress you've made to carry over. If you have no save file progress from the first, you';re starting from scratch. Yet it feels like we're starting all over again.
Considering it’s cross gen and wasn’t designed for the PS5 it’s still one of the best looking games I’ve ever seen, plus fast travel actually being fast is a game changer.
Can’t wait to see more games designed specifically for next gen.
I'm hearing a lot of people say this really heats up their PS5 in quality mode. Will have to say how mine fairs, probably overdue a clean.
Seen she's still very talkative about everything I wish you could mute her. Reviews are making fun of it as well.
I like that she comments on what’s happening.
There is a noticeable difference between quality and performance. The most obvious being the 3d amount and depth of foliage.
I just can't handle 30fps though so playing it on performance. It's made aiming much quicker and easier.
I think this is what is giving me a feeling of very mild motion sickness some nights. A form of dull headaches. Plus I've to turn fast with the stick then quick in and out ads then turn/ads/in/out to track anything fast.
I wish I could find a PS5 that's not at stupid scalping prices.
Yes exactly. The microadjustments you have to do with the 30fps and what feels like input lag.
Feels much more responsive with 60 fps.
Honestly, time spent searching for a PS5 vs what your time is worth vs time actually playing games (esp if it's a hobby) just pay an extra 100 quid and get it off Ebay (I will go against the herd here). My mate spent countless hours trying to get one. Gave in and hasnt looked back.
Alternatively, have the notifications on the members market a few have come up for retail price and most will honour any warranty claims.
