However there was a time when AMD locked out the top 12 entirely, so in that sense yes technically ADL is taking its toll on Ryzen sales, there are now 2 ADL CPU's vs 6 AMD CPU's, instead of 0 for 12.
Still Intel is far from succesful and happy, even with lower launch prices they don't dominate in sales, Zen 3 on the launch had very high prices, but still winning in every major IT retailer, people choose it instead cheap and good Comet Lake that had excellent performance/price ratio, but dind't help Intel.

I think i'm just gonna hold out for a cheapo used 5600X or 5800X. Should be a few hitting the market when Ryzen 7 launches in late Q3 (I'm guessing?) - That also fits in nicely with my Autumn upgrade timelime.

There's a clear trend where sales are headed. We'll see what impact the 5800X3D has, though it'll be too slow in multi-core workloads vs the competition to be a threat IMO. Also likely far too expensive.

I made my reply to this slide in that thread, stop peeing it all over the forum you're making a mess.
Those slides mean nothing, it is OEM too and laptops which Intel has advantage no doubt, but when it comes to enthusiast that build pc from the ground, AMD is dominating in every major IT retailer. Zen 3 is perfect example of succesfull product, when released it had leading performance, high prices, and still kicking Intel in sales, while Intel now have leading performance, but AMD is still kicking them in sales, and AMD did first price cut after 1.5 year, so no wonder Pat Gelsinger is in meltdown mode and spitting on everything, they dind't fight right formula to have everything, performance is only one side. And Zen 4 will have leading performance back again, and also longer support, while RPL is the last cpu on that plaform, so i predict easy win for Zen 4 and continued domination.

I think you need to look past the CPU header price and look at what the whole platform costs. That might be where AMD is offering better value.

I saw a bundle offer today with A520, 5600X, 16GB DDR4 3200, Radeon RX 6600 total was £575. Now that is a deal if you are looking at a base level build. Can't get anywhere close with even a 12100f. Not sure if that is some sort of supported price though looking at the kit that was on offer.

I will stick my neck out and say I don't believe the rumour as AMD already have the 65w 5600 non X while $122 for a 6/6 and under $264 for a 5700X just seems way to cheap for a company according to many here is still outselling Intel so will end up undercutting their own products.AMD launching 4 new CPUs soon?

Out of interesting, undercutting what products? The 5600x is £199 and 5800x £300. Putting the 5700x at £249 at literally middle road.
Alongside the 5800X3D, AMD seems to be releasing several new Ryzen 5000 series chips in March.

A 5500 6/6 at $122 would destroy sales of the 5600X, the 5600 non X is just a 5600X so I doubt we'll see that part since as you say it's already at £200 so it would make more sense for AMD to release the 95w true "5600X" with better clocks for a slight premium.
AMD has space for a 5700X but it would more likely arrive at around £300 price the 5800X is sitting at with that being pushed back up. I can't see AMD releasing it for under $264 which would be about £245 as they would not want to release the product for cheaper than the 3700X MSRP.

These should have released when 12th gen Alder Lake released imo, 5-6 months ago. Too little too late, considering Raptor Lake and Zen 4 will crater prices on current gen CPU's.

Seems they finally have some spare capacity to bother with the lower end, I've also noticed I've not seen any recently produced 3xxx parts (yes people are still buying them) so that would point they are pushing the 7nm production to more 5xxx parts. The 6c/6t 5500 part at ~£99-109 will be interesting, especially on a cheapo A520 board with 16GB DDR4 RAM. That would put them at under £190 for the whole lot, bringing so serious competition back to the lower end. 5700X (£229-239) should be rated at 65w as well, so will slot in nicely with the now £290-310 5800x at 105w. Platform cost for an 8c/16t on entry level (but decent) B550 board will put the CPU/Board/RAM at a similar cost to the price of just he 12700K at ~£360.
Going to be interesting with the dropping graphics card prices as well, making true decent entry level system almost possible again.
