He says a bit on who he is at the end of that video; I don't think that's true. He says he studied military history and economics, but he doesn't mention working in the industry at all.

I'm quite sure he has in a previous video, he works as a defense analysist or something along those lines. In his latest video he said what he had studied then no comment on after university and he is going to give some thought on what he can say beyond that, i take this as he has left university and is working someplace, otherwise why would he need to think about what he can say.

Lol, Russia have zero chance against NATO.

They would either lose in embarrassing fashion or we all die in nuclear annihilation.

Seems like the Russian's have lost their minds.

Indeed. I think 1% of NATO's military would make light work of the Russians, based on their botched invasion of Ukraine.

You have to wonder about their nuclear capability now too, perhaps it's not all it's cracked up to be. Not sure we should risk finding out though...

People keep raising this, but way back in this thread someone posted a recent report from the IAEA inspectors who confirmed that significant modernisation had taken place. WHether that was just the warheads, or if it included delivery systems, I don't know.

OK, I'm very much not a conspiracy-type person but a third fire! Is this just being amplified because of the other two??? Those other two were rather convenient accidents given the facilities... just how often are there fires in large buildings in Russia?

I guess we'll have to find out what this building was.

Certainly, there seem to have previously been several conscription offices targeted in arson attacks, not doubting those.

Edit - apparently the building is relevant, not looking like just an accident then:

The west don't have much stomach for body bags full of young men, Russia are not so sensitive, they might prevail on the back of western politicians fearing their future if they interfere too much and get directly involved.

Russia are already fighting NATO sans boots on the ground. Those that say Ukraine is doing marvellously never seem to factor in the assistance, financially if not physically, with seemingly free military hardware, from the west. Left to their own devices and military supplies i would imagine this would be taking a very different course for Ukraine already. A good sign of how far a younger populace are raring to go away from their keyboards in this, is how many have signed up to the RAF, navy and army in recent weeks, anyone know the figures for the UK? Anyone here signed up on the strength of wanting to be physically "up at at `em"? How would people on here feel if they were conscripted this or next year?

Russia doesn't get to know there are bags with bodies in them, so of course they don't care about it because they are ignorant of it.

The West's honesty is a worthwhile benefit that limits the warmongers among us.

in the event of nuclear war, Russia have underground bunkers inside the cities
for all of the population. the Mariupol steel plant an example.

wonder where in UK my nearest bunker is?
there is none.

Cool, you can emerge into a desolate polluted world of nothing, sounds great.

Considering what we know I doubt any of those bunkers except perhaps the Kremlin, Yamantau and Moscow Underground have been maintained at all. Most people wouldn't even have the time to find the shelters anyway so not that useful imo.

There's also a high likelihood that the major train stations in Moscow would be subject to ground-bursts so even if that was maintained I don't think it would help very much.

This is nothing new, you should know fine well. The vast majority of the conflicts through the latter half of 20th century were for the most part proxy conflicts, played out East-V-West without directly involving both forces at the same time. We've had maybe a 15-20 year blip where we were concentrated more on the "War on Terror", we are just back to status quo now. Just happens to be Ukraine was the chosen battleground this time. Ive said it many times now, it is in the Wests interest for this to go on as long as possible, the longer it goes on the more money, resources and manpower Russia has to commit/lose/waste. All the while the West sits back trickle feeds just enough firepower to keep it Ukraine from getting steamrolled. To add to that, this is an intelligence goldmine, not only do we get to learn so much about modern Russian capabilities and tactics, we also get to field test and learn about the effectiveness of western weapon systems.

Even if the west were to actually get involved further down the line (I highly doubt this would ever happen), it would only be remotely I feel, Tomahawks and drone strikes aimed at Russian C2 nodes, AA sites and key infrastructure in Ukraine territory, then mop up with targeted airstrikes. Boots on ground work could easily be handled by Ukraine.

There's a "Secret Nuclear Bunker" just up the road near Nantwich at Hack Green. Open to the public for a fee, and used for amateur radio the rest of the time. I bet the keyholder keeps them on him at the moment ;) I think some have been sold off for bizarre housing projects for troglodytes.

Another was used by druggies to grow a huge amount of cannabis as those in charge had forgotten to turn the three phase power supply from the grid off... I wonder if there are any that are still fully functional?

Sexagenarians are just as likely to die as six year olds if someone pushes the button, or a missile drops amongst them...

What I was getting at was the almost sense of thrill that some here show when these terrible conventional weapons are unleashed, a thrill that may become abject terror should the situation develop to them being deployed against us and they are called up to join the forces, like it or lump it.

I get no kick at all to see death and destruction on either side.
