Agreed. Also, having a GPU/CPU that chugs a ton of power certainly does not help at the moment with rising costs of energy.

I've undervolted my 6950 XT and 5800X3D, can see the difference on my Smart Meter at the end of the day.

What settings do you use in MPT and in the driver?

For the 6950 XT Toxic, I use these settings for when I need max performance.

Min GPU 2658Mhz
Max GPU 2758Mhz (my sample is not very good)
FCLK to 2200Mhz (YMMV on stability)
Power limit to 425W
Fan Stop to 50c, Fan Start to 55c
Feature Control > uncheck DS_GFXCLK

That's it.

I know Matt did an underclock at some point 2300/2400, 250W limit and an undervolt to 1.1v iirc but that was a very good chip (his old Toxic).

2188/2288 @0.925v, memory 2238Mhz FT, -10% power limit, FCLK stock, ticked DS-GFXCLK, 20%% fan speed. You can adjust the minimum fan pwm % using MPT. 6950 XT runs at sub 200W at these settings.

So I've ordered this.

Ahh ok, Would be nice if there was a setting in Wattman to set max wattage directly.
