Just waiting for this block from Bykski to arrive in a couple of weeks for the Zotac Amp Extreme Airo. I know the instructions are basic, but I am fairly confident if the compatibility is ok, then it should be OK. Will do a proper leak test like all the other parts. Good reviews for this company and I am willing to give a less well known brand a whirl. It looks pretty as well IMO.

Nvidia should sell bare cards for those that want to water cool.
Throwing away hundreds of £ cooler seems a waste.

I've had some time free to fit my RTX 4090 into my case, looks like I will be getting an Cabelmod 90-degree power cable while I'm waiting for the new Lian li v3000 plus case to be launched.
I will have to run the computer with side panel off for now.

The Asus RTX 4090 OC is built like a tank with no sagging, maybe a Ek water block to be fitted later and into my loop.

Curious if this would fit in the XL case as I have the same card.

I see so many users breaking the rules on no sideways angles on the new power adapters and only a bend downwards once you are at 35mm from the card.

Well I finally got some gaming done today after spending the weekend from hell building my PC.

Final pieces arrived from OCUK on Friday,
However the Corsair 150i LCD elite i picked up months back on the fake holiday that another reseller uses to bump sales turned out to be DOA. That was my friday night spend cabling, recabling, checking and even testing it on another PC. Dead controller box/pump.
So ordered a replacement, on next day delivery, it arrived Saturday at 10pm, installed and booted up in 30mins, installed windows, but due it being late i messed up and plugged my TV in with a older HDMI cable (i swear i chucked all the not 2.1 cables but guess not) so spent 2 hours trying to work out why i couldnt get 4k 120hz to work.
Get it sorted around 1am, so set steam downloading loads of stuff and figure grab some sleep a will get to play tomorrow. yeah in my tiredness forgot to set power options and computer slept itself, so woke up to a lock screen and no downloads.
Sunday spent downloading games and drilling holes in my sim rig for mounting pedals.

Woke up this morning by a phonecall from my boss and had to help out with some stuff at work (so much for vacation), done by lunch so have just fired up a couple of testers and yeah it slaps.

Asus z690-f Strix
MSI Suprim x 4090
32gb Corsair 6200 DDR5
2x 2tb WD850 PCIE4 SSD
1 250gb Samsung Sata SSD (temp drive), and 2x2tb SSHD seagate drives as slow storage
O11 Evo
Corsair 150i Cooler (plus a broken LCD one that im fighting to get either my money back or replaced).
Cosair 1200w plat PSU.

Getting those 4 PCIE power cables into the case was a total mare, and its UGLY if you take of the back panel, I'm hoping to get the Corsair replacement cable and i could instal that and clean it up, but TBH its not visible so no rush and i dont want to dig into that mess again right now.

I also hate widows 11, why do MS feel the need to hide all the options you want 5 menus deep?

Do you mind posting a close up pick of the cable/side panel to see how much space there is?
I've been thinking about this or the XL case myself.

Thanks!

Thanks!

There you go, its touching but not under pressure.
I was more concerned about the pigtails of the corsair pcie power cables so taped the end of them as they are right up next to the motherboard and knowing my luck will slip onto a fan header,
Also at the back the O11 Evo would be a great to cable manage normally, but with all those power cables and a big PSU there was no way i could get them all in there and put the cable management cover back on, so i left it out, the case closes fine after some organising but those 4x PCIE power cables are just FAT and fill up the space too much.

Changing to the corsair power cable would probably make life so much easier but i missed them for the 30 seconds they were in stock.

Excellent, thanks.
I know what you mean about the pigtails, I used some extension cables I had to get around that issue.
