I said I wasn't going to go with anything other than an FE, then a Zotac Amp Extreme arrivedSaid I wasnt going to buy one but then this happened yesterday

Got mine last Thursday, brilliant with the g2 in vr with msfs.
Got the little support post for £6 just to avoid any sag (was minimal anyway).

Posted in the other 4000 thread, though posting here in case anyone wants to see how the Cablemod 16 pin cable looks:
Can't use the included metal 'cover' as the 16 pin connector is inverted on the Strix. So have to wait to get the cablemod's 90 degree adaptor, or the 'wireview' adaptor from der8auer, then it'll be straight and neat! Much better than the stock cables though for now!

i too received a 4090 founders edition today.. but would be only able to test it on weekend
did anyone play around with a straight horizontal voltage curve..
interested in knowing the max stable clocks at 700mv and 905mv @ 100% power slider..

Not set mine up yet as waiting for the rest of the new gear… I’m a iRacing nut using G2 and VR and there are loads of people complaining about the 4090/drivers with VR? How is your experience so far, and are you using Windows 10 or 11?Got mine last Thursday, brilliant with the g2 in vr with msfs.

I’m using Windows 11 22H2 and not had any issues with VR games. Steam VR, Oculus games, and flat2VR games like cyberpunk have been flawless so far.

Amazon - £6.99 with 5% off - bargain. It just fitted in its lowest setting, magnet on the bottom, rubber on to. It hust lifted the card up by 2-3mm.Where was that support post from?

Windows 10, using it in msfs g2 vr and I'm blown away. Can now have 150% on openxr which makes it really clear with heavy weather in a dense areas such as London in an a320 and it stays over 30 FPS rising to 50fps when clear. This is with a 12700k and 4000mhz ddr4.
Gone for an in the middle approach on MSI afterburner with 2835mhz / 1000mv it would 300w GPU chip 375w on the board temps at 60° when stress testing.
I can get it at 950mv at 2700mhz which drops usage to 250gpu chip and 325 on board, I can also go to 2950mhz with 1050mv but it pulls more volts and subsequently gets hotter and it's hitting it's power limit.
With the 2835mhz setting I'm getting graphics scores of 35500k timespy, 20k timespy extreme & 26k port royal. Heaven 4 I get just over 6000. If I tried the higher setting the scores weren't going up much but using a lot more power and generating more heat.
Okay not the best scores but this card really has enhanced my performance and I'm not chasing rainbows on numbers.

Shiny Shiny! What a combo.13900k arrived today, goes well with a 4090 I hear
Now I was planning to get an FE but then this popped up as available...although sticking the address labels straight onto the box, not impressed
