DDU then latest WHQL driver, not had an issue.

Are you already running Win 11? going by your sig I would say yes?

When I got my 6700XT I put the rig it was going in on 11, so didn't have to use DDU. But yeah, basically use DDU. Then see how it boosts etc. The only issue I had at home was my 6800XT not boosting properly. Didn't take much to fix though. I think it was the fact I left EVGA Precision X on there :D
 
I take that back on my last statement, I have seen it hit 72c when pushing above 300 watts, which is still very good.

Nah still on windows 10, too lazy to do a reinstall lol

Yeah gonna do benchmarks etc out the box see where i'm at.

It's to do with how the CPU works etc. At the time of launch Microsoft did not even have a fix planned. Probably because they wanted people on 11.

I really don't know if it's fixed now, but it may be worth looking into. It's something called Thread Director if memory serves.

I had my first gaming session last night since I built this PC, three years ago, and it didn't crash. Vega 64 + 650w Seasonic Gold to this 6900xt + 850w Seasonic Plat.

I imagine all I needed all along was a better PSU for that vega, but it's still nice to game on extreme gfx settings and my case not feel like it's going to set on fire. So happy.
 
wow I can't even find words to say how amazed I am by this card (wife had enough of me talking about it only after 1 weekend)

Had to overclock CPU to 5ghz to keep up.

Temps on max power 64*C
CPU on 5ghz 55*C on noctua air cooling

FS2020 literally everything on ultra 1440p - 90-100 fps, 60-70 on big airports

New World - 180fps :O
