*** Sky TV Cancellation & Negotiation Thread ***

Went to cancel Sky and they've offered:

£24 for Sky Signature
£21 for Sports
£5 for HD

With a £20 fee and an 18 month contract. I assume this will go up 8% on 1 April so ends up more than I'm currently paying (£51). Should I push for more?
Latest offer was £48pm with £20 fee. I've put my cancellation in now. I'd stay if they offer UHD for £48pm and removed the admin fee.

Apparently it's £10 for a generic offer admin fee and £10 for an offer fee! Agreed, the £5 HD charge is a joke.
Ive never payed admin fee , my HD went up to £6.00 per month utter **** take and i told them that , now cancelled after 8 years , Sky saying " Thankyou for being a loyal customer " if thats not a kick in the teeth

I get a flyer through the door for £35 minus HD most weeks. Best I have got is £42 with UHD, I said thanks but no thanks. Out of principle you should not be charging for UHD never mind HD in 2023. Believe in better is the tagline....

Thee price is the price doesn't matter what they say goes into making up the number, the only thing to watch out for is next years price rise which will be on the phantom undiscounted price.
I cancelled and now have exactly a month to prepare an alternative.

Sky must be loosing so much business with the price rises this april , the customer numbers must be falling fast in numbers

I've already received one email from them since cancelling... Signature, Cinema and Sports for £45 a month plus a £10 fee.

Not interested in that. In fact, it's just £4 less than the previous telephone offer once I add on everything else I have.

We cancelled Sky almost a year ago now after being with them 15 years.

We had the usual text message saying to call them in the notice period, but the figures they came back with were all more than what we were paying during the contract. In the end we let it go and haven't heard from them since.

We replaced it with BT TV for less than a third of the price and even with 900mb FTTP its still £15 cheaper than sky were offering for TV alone. We honestly don't miss it and probably won't ever go back. I imagine quite a few are finding the same.

If they ever lost the EPL rights they'd be dead and buried.

Anyone know how to find out how long you have left of your contract?

I've been looking on the site for past 20 mins and failed lol.

Last message regarding change of service was 30th November 21 so 18 months I'm assuming is end of April.

Paying £69 per month and advised it's going up another couple of quid. Only really use it for F1 and £850 is a little too much :)

Have you tried just checking your "future bills"?

Your recent contract should be in my messages from memory.

Yay email from sky asking me why I'm leaving well duh

On mysky if you look under services I think it should show the TV packages you have and any under contract will show the end date, for sports and signature were under contract.

Mine was about £54, was going to go up loads (they said full price 90+)

Told them no chance they offered 70 odd, still far more than I'm prepared to pay (Base channel, Sports, HD, multiroom)

Processed cancellation and 2 days before they asked me to call and offer was still more than I was paying before

I already have BB, landline and a TV box (don't use the TV) with VM so looks like I will move to a full bundle with them

Am I likely at the end of the road with Sky? I do prefer their hardware but the price they are offering is just madness

Google win back team (if that's still going). Ring them up, they're based in Scotland mostly, be polite, lie and say you had a missed call from the number. I've always managed to get the best deals this way.
