Street Fighter 6 coming with "immersive" single player mode (2023)

This game makes me feel old. I booted up the demo and was immediately hit with awful 'music' and a vibe that I just can't relate to at all.

If I can't turn all that crap off then I think I'll just remember SF2 on the SNES and leave it at that.

Managed to get the rank Silver and I can see the distinct difference in opponents. It’s challenging yet fun….until I face a high level chin li she needs nerfing her footsie game is too strong and damage output from simple combos op.

I can see some balancing happening before it’s released

So my Open Beta career ended at Gold rank. Not too bad. Roll on 2nd June :)

It's too early to say who does and doesn't need nerfing. I wouldn't say Chun is OP. She's also the hardest character to play with her stance cancels.

Just tried the benchmark for this on the old system; i5 3570 at 4Ghz, 32GB RAM and the RTX 3060 12GB. And surprisingly, it gives a score of 86 - Playable with no issue on default High settings at 1080P. When the minimum CPU was 4 generations later and now some 6 generations back (an i5 7500). Going to see what this can do graphics wise before it reaches unplayable levels. :p

LOL there's only one issue with the Benchmark, with Sampling turned up to the highest setting, at 4k, it'll keel over and go at half available frames, so only at best 30FPS and fluctuating up and down from there. But turn Sampling down by ONE setting, from Highest Sampling to High, and you get silky smooth 60FPS in the benchmark at 4k with all other settings on (certainly with the fighting part, the battle and city scape can go down a bit to 45FPS in some areas of the Benchmark whilst running through the area). This thing is like Street Fighter 4, where it could run on a toaster and be fine. :)

So the following benchmark scores:
86 for 1080P High
86 for 1080P Highest
86 for 1440P Highest
DNF for 4k Highest
93 for 4K Custom (Sampling at High instead)
93 for 1440P Custom (Samplig at High instead)

The only thing is of course, the prebuild shaders took a LOOOooooonnnnnngggg time to complete. So long in fact, that I was able to copy the Zip installation file, unpack it, install it (on the main rig), start the Benchmark up, build the shaders and get into the Benchmark before it even finished building the Shaders on the i5 3570 + RTX 3060 system. :p

:: edit ::

Forgot to add that the Internal Resolution was turned down from 5 to 3 as well for the last two runs. Still very serviceable image quality wise, so definitely an option for players with older CPU's wanting to play the game. :)

I've never ordered from Green Man Gaming, but went for them as the Steam Ultimate edition price is a bit extortionate (£75 vs £90). I'm hoping I still get the pre order bonuses though; still not received a key yet.

Always get hyped watching Street Fighter video, I esepcially love watching grappler characters.

Would buy this, but I just don't have the attention span or the memory to memorise all the moves and combos of the guy I'm playing as, plus the guy I'm fighting against.

Also I hate playing these games with a controller and I can't justify the money for a stick. :(
