Bringing food on to aeroplane?

Get yourself to burger King in the airport and buy 4 XL double cheese with bacon just before you board the flight and make everyone smell the delight during the flight.

I've yet to find a KFC in an airport, its a dream of mine to get on board with a mega bucket and 4 sides of gravy and make everyone envious as they eat there airline grey food!
At Corfu there is a McDonald's directly at the gates. A couple of years ago were waiting to get served a McDonald's meal and they unexpectedly started boarding so we took it on board. It felt really wrong for some reason :p

What are the rules regarding bringing food into airport/aeroplane? I know you cant bring liquids like drinks etc in hand luggage but can you bring crisps and cereal bars from home?
I know you can get ripped off at duty free like at a cinema so was wondering on what rules are for aeroplanes and airports?
So, yeah, on a plane anything you want. We will often take our own food, my OH has been known to bring homemade blueberry pie onboard to have with a coffee

I always bring food back with me when I travel to the UK and have never had any issues. Meats, cheeses, fresh food in general. Never stopped. I also almost always take a sandwich/pastry/crisps/etc and have never been told anything even if I don't finish them.

That's not to say some countries might not stop you, just in my experience it has never happened and I travel abroad 3-4 times/year.

Just don't do it when getting off he plane in Australia, especially anything vegetables, anything with seeds, not even if you get a free apple on the plane.

I've always gone through NZ and Aus in the "check my bags for whatever just in case" lane just so you're covered for everything and it's always worked out as being quicker than the nothing to declare queues.

Of course they did, it's a significant revenue stream for them.
Most didn’t buy anything as just had something to eat and drink at LBA. Plus the bus to Dublin city centre was (at the time in 2004/5) every ten minutes. You could be in Dublin itself within an hour

There's one in Hyderabad. Menu is a bit different than over here however.

Got back last week. Jet2 pilot or crew did make an announcement that cant eat peanut stuff but other than that can bring whatever else with you

Up to 20000mAh, but may depend on airline..
Not entirely correct. The limit is 100Wh so depends on both the mah rating and voltage.
Anymore than that and you need airline approval.
If the cell voltage is 3.7V you can have a 27,000mah power bank. All newer packs have to have the Wh on them.

At least it looks like next year should see the scrapping of the daft tiny liquid and taking everything out of your bags at security rule.

Finally, upgraded scanners deadline is June next year.

I'm sure I remember right but it's in the pipeline that the liquid rules will be changing in the near future.
I thought I just said that?

Anyway, yeah, should be ok going out but coming back it'll depend on the destination capabilities so we may still have to do it. I think it's going up to 2litres or something.

I didn't say otherwise did I. Nope did I directly reply or respond to you!

I just get the ICAO memos through work and occasionally glance at them.

Lol, I've had too much sun today and should really not type every thought.

TBH what would benefit me most would be not having to take my belt off and shuffle through before my trousers fall down.

Or just buy better fitting trousers or elasticated ones instead. :)
