Amazon Prime sucks massive donkey balls

this classic (But Ratatouille does look interesting)

never seen that before can't embed, says it must be viewed direct, Musk will do that soon

The more streaming services that pop up the more diluted the distribution of quality becomes. The gaming isn't great on prime either. I'm surprised it's a successful service tbh as I wouldn't have thought many people purchase enough items needing urgent delivery to make it worthwhile. A free month here and there does me grand.

I'm still waiting for the next free months offering they expect me to pay for it the nerve!

As we invest to improve our Same-Day delivery service we are writing to let you know about an update to the Same-Day delivery options available for Prime members in eligible postcodes.
The majority of Prime members currently receive most of their Prime orders with One-Day delivery, while free Same-Day delivery can be manually selected for eligible orders.
From 18 September 2023:
  • Your Prime Same-Day or Overnight (Tomorrow by 1 PM) orders over £20 will automatically be delivered to you using the fastest available option, at no extra cost. This means that where available, you will get eligible orders delivered for free on the same day or by 1PM the following day, depending on when you place your order.
  • Eligible Prime orders under £20 will continue to be shipped with free One-Day delivery. Where available, Same-Day delivery can be selected at checkout, but there will be a fee of £1.99 per delivery for orders under £20. The fee for customers who are not Prime members will remain £5.99.

And so it begins, I expect there will be some Prime Max, Prime Ultra etc subscriptions coming down the line, clearly the cost of living, cost of doing business and general state of the world economy right now is worrying poor Jeff.

These greedy arse companies are never happy. Always trying to squeeze another pound note out. It was all fine until they realised they’ve finally destroyed the high street, now they can start charging. This will get worse. Soon it’ll be £1.99 for all same day deliveries

I don't even have Prime anymore, just sub to Prime for a bit when I need it.

Saves money in the long run!

They often seem to offer me a week for £1, or a month for free, even had 3 months half price.

You know there is a solution right? Stop giving Amazon your money….

The shopping experience is literally trash tier these days. I don’t know how anyone finds anything unless they know exactly what they want. Even then, it’s full of fake and dodgy products mixed in with what you might be looking for.

Saw this and at first I was really annoyed and then I realised that, here in Bristol anyway, not much really seems available for same day delivery. There used to be much more to pick from than there is now.

So not much will have changed for me

I recently signed up for another year, next year I might reconsider though, Ive never had issues with products I want and delivery has always been fine here, but Im starting to look elsewhere as well, for example I now buy movies (disc) from HMV.

I still think its pretty reasonable value over the course of a year, (yearly sub works out at about £8) providing you buy stuff frequently, even prime video has some good content added now and again.

I paid £79 for this last year but now it's just expired and gone up to £96, I'll hold off. I used deliveries and watched Prime a lot, also just before expiring checked out Prime Gaming and got all the "free" games, actually a lot of Neo Geo games nice to have, at least 20 games including Metal Slug series that cost about £7 each game for their Steam or Switch versions. The newer "free" games aren't much good, but I definitely like having those Neo Geo games to keep that you can still play when Prime expires, but £96 is getting too high.

Maybe he doesn't own enough tropical islands yet? Can't get a dozen of those without treating your workers like slaves and customers like mugs...

My parents and I share Amazon Prime. I’m the main account holder. So if they need anything, they message me with a link.

Saturday I ordered something at 6pm. Got it 8:50am Sunday.

Very much this.
The cheap stuff is flooding in. It's turning into a Aliexpress with higher prices and faster delivery.

I've only been using them recently due to having gift vouchers.

Amazon is no longer the go to for shopping. It's often not competitive anymore.

I do use it for benchmarking prices a bit though

Have you guys seen the new star rating layout in the amazon UI? How that has passed UAT and gone live I will never know. They've made it 100 times less easy to read and interpret a rating as you visually cannot see how many stars something has. Instead everything has a single star and then the number rating next to it. I hate it.

I also got an email today about prime, saying something along the lines of that there will now be a £1.99 fee for items under £20 if you want them delivered same day. I don't really have a problem with this so much as I barely ever found anything that was same day delivery anyway.
