really enjoying the game so far and second boss down, using keyboard and mouse
think i need to save pennies for a new generator.
Yeah its just how i remembered it though, a really fine balance between EN Loads, Weight and the weaponry you mount. Trying to find that perfect balance for the mission ahead was always the fun part. I've replayed quite a few missions now just to gather enough coin for upgrades.
Yup, that's what kept on happening to me. The one time he stayed in the arena I managed to kill him quickly with melee attacks. Typical From, throwing a difficulty spike right at the start of the game !Can't even beat the first boss lol, keeps going out of bounds.
First S Rank, maneuverability is key as i suspected! Built this absolute dodge cannon.

oh sweet i never noticed i could replay the missions
its my first armoured core game and loving it so far![]()
Nice work. How come you skipped out on a L shoulder weapon? Was it for speed purposes or did you just not need one?
Currently on chapter 2 mission 4 (I think). I can feel the difficulty increasing in a good way. I'm hooked on the gameplay. The variation in weapons and the different playstyles they bring, along with the type of legs you are using is awesome.
I got to the mission that they showed in one of the early gameplay reveals (the one where they kick the mech off the edge). That level is long (I did try and kill as many enemies as possible to bag more credits). I ran out of ammo in both my arm weapons and had to fight a tetra pod mini-boss with just my shoulder weapons. One of which ran out half way through the fight. I do think I may be fighting at the wrong range which is causing issues with ammo usage.
Are Rubiconians just humans native to Rubicon or a different species?
It will be interesting to find out what or who Ayre (sp?) is? I found a combat log in ch2 mission 3, that talks about taking orders from an AI, so I wonder if that is what she is. She is able to mess with settings in your AC.

I finally beat him, but it wasn't a yipee moment, it was more a thank **** that's over. Not a good boss design decision at all for a tutorial! Should feel rewarded for a beating a hard boss, not like I've been through 10 rounds with Mike Tyson.
My issues was mostly to do with weapon range. I had twin Gatling guns which are short range weapon but I when taking out grunts and some mini bosses I was standing far away, which I believe causes ricochet. I just need to get in close and dodge like a maniacOverburdened so i can't install it. Im favouring heavy single shots and fast speed over mass fire power at the moment, meaning i get in, i dash around and don't get hit while picking off the enemies one at a time. I can do without the L shoulder for now though it would be nice to have a shield or something. It's really quite satisfying as they can't target you lol. You end up running circles around the enemies even some bosses! I found one of the end of chapter bosses quite easy because of this speed i have over them.
Don't forget to equip the appropriate FCS according to how you wanna fight, i found mid range or close range fcs to be more useful for my build right now. Where as if you favour long range firepower then obviously install that one. They do some inbetween ones too but i don't see the point as it just makes what you're trying to achieve half arsed.

It feels REALLY nice and there are no drift issues. So much more responsive. It's weird they launched the game with the bad deadzones.
Thank you, that helped me very much!
I also edited the reaction curve from 200 to 230 and now its like a normal stick as it should be
