Yeah, about that..that's what I choose to do for my own sanity.
Anyhoo, chuck the shovel up when you’ve finished with it

There's a house at the end of my street just like this but thankfully it's nowhere near me so I don't need to be concerned but I feel sorry for the residents who live close by as neighbours as everything about the house says "trouble". Loads of CCTV cams illegally pointing in all directions, always different BMWs and Audi's and old work vans parked outside every time I drive past, washing line erected in the driveway/front garden, loads of kids bikes outside, curtains always closed, and a lawn that looks like it hardly ever gets mowed. I've never seen who actually lives there but I doubt it's a nice family![]()

Anything's possible and not much surprises me anymore. None of us really know what our neighbours get up to behind closed doors
Link to your OnlyFans please?Oh right.
Well when you see them, just smile, say hi, and carry on about your day. It's not really any more complicated than that.
My advanced course includes such topics as:
- How to nod politely when your neighbour starts telling you a boring story.
- How to accept a delivery for someone else, and then give them the parcel later.
- How to make inane and repetitive comments about the weather.
But I'm afraid it's a paid subscription.
You talk about people being rude and trolling, but many of your posts have come across as antagonistic especially in Home & Garden and La Cuisine. Maybe have a reset and just let any negative interactions you have had in the past stay there.
I have to put up with all sorts
new neighbour
This is my biggest worry at the moment more so than the current mildly annoying resident in my block. There's only 1 flat left empty and it's the one directly above mine. A few weeks ago the landlord came to show the flat to a young-ish lad and his dad and they were stomping around up there like a herd of elephants. The noise through my ceiling was very disturbing and they were only up there for 10 minutes so I can only imagine how much worse it would be if the lad actually moves in and has his mates, girlfriend, and family visiting.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he didn't like the property or his application failed but he shook hands with the landlord in the car park when he was leaving and they were talking outside for 5 minutes so it's not looking good for me is it.

How long has the upstairs flat been empty while you have been living below it?

I was so glad when the problem neighbor under me moved out 2 years ago. There were times when I actually feared for my safety because of the company he kept, threatening looking gangs going in and out of his flat, they would stink the block out with weed smoke and spit all down the steps. There noisy bass music thumbing up into my flat, they would MC late at night and make beats. I put up with that for just over 4 years and suddenly he vanished and somebody else moved in who is very quiet.
I've just been offered my 3rd renewal of a 6 month shorthold assured tenancy so it's been empty for 12 months to the best of my knowledge and I've never heard a sound up there. I pity anyone who takes on that flat though as they will have to be next door neighbours with the problem resident who sits out on the upstairs landing everyday and evening with her lager drinking scouse mates screaming, shouting, and heckling, and generally being very irritating. I bet nobody has lived in the flat above me for longer than 6 months while that loud/crazy scouse woman has been in this building !
good neighbours are worth their weight in gold, it can be the difference between loving where you live and being in a hell hole....... <touch wood> I have always been blessed with good ones (Though i like to think that in part that is down to us as well...... we are good to them, they are good to us).For most of my life I've rented and moved around a lot and lived in exclusive/detached homes where I never even met any of my neighbours or even saw their faces to know who they were. Things changed not long ago and I can't afford that luxury lifestyle anymore so I've been forced to interact with very close neighbours much more lately. I'm doing okay but it's a struggle always trying to keep the peace and be nice so I'm just wondering how you lot deal with your neighbours and prevent wars over "issues"?
