World first QD-OLED monitor from Dell and Samsung (34 inch Ultrawide 175hz)

Yea, I understand that - I just meant is it meant to say "Dell AW3423DWF (G-SYNC Compatible)" - as with that monitor selected, it says "is not validated as G-Sync Compatible" even though it gives me the tick box of Enable GSync setting so... it's a little confusing!

Ahh ok, My guess is that Nvidia haven't added it to their G-Sync Compatible/Certified list which is included in the driver hence why it says that but in general Nvidia allow even uncertified monitors to activate VRR.

Anyone with the knowledge. Been reading around and saw on reddit, Likely not the best place for reliable info :D That running the pixel refresh like it wants you to every 4 hours on the DW/DWF is actually not that good for the panel, Any truth to that or did this person mean the panel refresh ?

Most likely that person means panel refresh. Pixel refresh isnt harmful to the panel.
 
Neither is panel refresh harmful

Pixel refresh is for removing temporary image retention. Panel refresh is for removing burn in as described in the new rtings vid

By the way guys, don't watch 16:9 content on your AW/AWF. They don't like it and it can rapidly cause permanent burn in. 2nd gen QD-OLED panels don't have this problem as demonstrated in the video

I noticed on all of that video, the line straight down the center of the monitor, which is just what mine has! It's apparently common with most OLED's, and usually caused by a bug in the dark stabilizer. Turning it off, or going from 1 to 0 and back to 1 and the line vanishes

Just thought as this is both a Gsync Compatible and Freesync premium i'm not limited to just a Nvidia card anymore

4080 or 7900 XT, hmmm decisions :cry:
