*** Official Ubiquiti Discussion Thread ***

I thought QoS wasn't needed above say 300mb. I turned it off once I got 300mb from 75mb.
That's right, I only have it applied on upload, but if you do saturate your download it can affect other clients and buffer bloat can come into play. Also, I wanted to test it on download and limit it on some VLANs, or guarantee bandwidth on others. But it doesn't seem to play nice above 600 Mbps or so.

Not sure if there was an announcement or a post in here about it, but if so I missed it - Enterprise Campus switches:

UCG Fiber fixed all the issues I had with Ubiquiti & multi gigabit pppoe speeds which I had using a UDM Pro.

I've even been able to enable IDS and IPS and not noticed any drop in speeds. Not enabled protect yet mind but seems a decent cpu bump

Why do they refuse to fix the pppoe issue regards CPU usage and hardware offloading.
You just know there's going to be a Dream Machine Pro MAX coming soon.

Can you let me know if you see BGP under settings > routing please?

I have a UDM PM, which I have had for a while, and PPPoE seems fine on it with an OR (FTTP) connection 900/110.

That would break the new naming scheme as max is higher tier than ultra.

Yes I am conveniently ignoring the fact they just bought out the Fibre which is a higher tier than the max.

UDM Fibre anyone?

i was hoping for a new doorbell. I really just want a g2 but with a doorbell button, or a doorbell with tap auth so i can use my phone to unlock. i currently have g2 on the side door and ring doorbell

The issue is not the doorbell but the mechanism to unlock the door and U.K. insurance requirements.

Most smart locks are not designed to be used with standard multi point locks which you need to lift the handle to engage. They can’t lock the door without the handle being manually lifted.

Hardly any smart locks meet U.K. insurance standards anyway meaning you get higher premiums.
