The Expanse

i wish i did have 2 more to watch !!
I still have a faint hope that Alcon sort it out and something gets picked up in the next few years for the final trilogy.

EDIT: Essentially, once amazon are done and it's off their platform, Alcon can shop around and get someone else to maybe pick it up.

Just finished the audiobooks to find out how it all ended! Enjoyable story but I think it loses it's way towards the end, then everything seems to happen at once. Liked the epilogue though, if anyone was going to survive, it was that person. I don't understand why the TV series decided to kill off that character though
I kept expecting it to happen in the audiobooks!

If you're meaning Alex, Cas Anvar he was fired from the show after he was investigated for Assault and S*xual harassment claims)

I did indeed, I guess the spoiler tag didn't work on my post! Well that's sad to hear, I don't know what is wrong with people. Neither option is good, either someone got assaulted or someone that was innocent lost their job.

Have you read or listened to Memory's Legion? This set of short stories is the real end to the story

I have just finished the book series on this today. I interspersed the main series (1-9) with the Novellas from Memory's Legion and also Dragon Tooth (read this between 6 and 7)

I really enjoyed this series and its the one that got me back into reading. It finished well (IMHO) but I am a little sad it is over and I need to think about where I go for the next reading.... Looking at WoT, Red Rising, Mercy of Gods and Hail Mary.

In other news - the "A Little Death" Kickstarter finished successfully. Its a long wau off (Nov-2026) but looking forward to getting more story. I went with the Red Inners Edition solely to match the Red Inners Edition of Dragon Tooth I backed in the previous campaign

Go for Mercy of the gods and its associated short story Livesuit

I found mercy of the gods pretty average.... Id wait for the rest of the story to be written so you can get to a "good bit"

The Hail Mary Project - (Audiobook), was one of the funniest/saddest/lovely books ive listened too and im looking forward to the film, hopefully it captures the same magic.

Im gonna relisten to these short expanses stories.. I've read strange dogs and drive but feel like ive missed many of the others.

Thanks for the reminders!

I’m still ****** they rushed the final season of the show. It’s such a good show a shame we didn’t get more of it.

Agreed, but after finishing the book I would second one if it was available.

Livesuit has a style much more similar to the Expanse short stories

Well we are lucky we got that at all as it was cancelled and picked back up again if I remember.

Yeah, SyFy cancelled it after the 3rd season and Amazon picked it up for S4-S6 but only after immense fan pressure and campaigning persuaded them to run it.

Shame the same couldn't have happened to Firefly all those years ago :(

Bezos was a fan apparently which made a difference.

Not fan enough to make the last 3 series though :(.... Some really nice and interesting character arcs in the lat 3 books
Im probably making it up but I'm sure i read somewhere that the director didn't want to have to use prosthetics to age up the characters seeing that the last 3 books are set 20 odd years in the future.

I could be completely wrong but it seems plausible
