Under the hot sun.
I think you're right, I've had cards which had vram issues and the corruption was less in keeping with the game visuals and more like a spectrum loading screen.

Good idea. I followed you instructions and went straight into the game after the installing the earlier driver. Sadly the glitch persists.

I did find another video of Rage 2 running on a 5700xt, and it appears to show the same issue between 0:8 and 0:15 seconds.

I have submitted a report to AMD , maybe they can squash it.

Cheers for all the help.

Do you use some screen overlay? Some games eg WOT have issues with overlays, showing stuttering also. And is prominent when I change the sound volume or Discord with the group overlay
That issue had with V64, GTX1080Ti and 5700XT. Hence I do not use overlays except the one Windows 10 pop when changing sound.

No overlays used. Not much on the system; clean windows 10 installation, appropriate drivers and some games.

Hi,

I have an issue with my 5700. This morning the entire monitor screen started to snowfall !!!! I thought at first that it is unstable overclock, but it wasn't. I have just started AB, not applied any overclock. The snowfall started when I loaded a game. Timeline what happened:
1. Started the computer
2. Started AB (without changing any settings)
3. Started a game
4. Snowfall in the main menu of the game
5. Rebooting the computer => snowfall on the desktop and everywhere
6. Reboot in Safemod => no snowfall
7. DDU AMD driver remove
8. Installing the newest AMD drivers (****5 something)
9. Rebooting => no snowfall
10.Starting a game = no snowfall
11. Playing the game for some time = no snowfall
12. Applying my normal overclock with AB
13. Playing again the same game = snowfall started again

What do you think, is my RX 5700 for RMA?

Thank you!

try a different monitor cable first
but yeah it’s probably an rma if that fails.

I didn't have much time in the morning (had to go for work). But I think to try:
1. a different cable between the monitor and the GPU
2. a different port on them both
3. To move the GPU on the other PCI-Ex16 port
4. To put the second RX 5700 (it is in the box right now) in the same PCI-Ex16 port of the problematic GPU
5. To try to find out is it working fine without any overclock/undervolt

If any of the above does not solve the issue to RMA the GPU. But I am wondering, is it the same issue as it was with the first RTX cards when they came out on the market ?

same gaming experience for 200-300 euro less.
amazing card

Ignoring the 2070 super which is a fraction faster, also starts at £499 for custom cards, stock card is in the middle for the two bios's noise levels an consumes less power despite being on a bigger manufacturing process.

When it comes between picking between a 2070 super and a custom 5700xt its really down to what team you prefer.

I dont want to sound like a moaner, but I think £500 is too much for the ASUS strix. Over a £100 more than reference cards, and the review shows there's only a few frames in it between the two.

Should have been around £450-460.

not accusing any site of cheating results but one of my bugbears is that openrigs in airconditioned rooms are used far too often. there might be a few frames in it under those conditions but at 'normal' UK room temps and closed cases the difference may be higher.
