@robfosters thread revival but just read all 320 posts expecting to see some updates and no updates since this time last year. How have you been the last year? Is your prognosis still unchanged?
Even if I see no response I wish you all the best and a merry Christmas.
Yes it wouldn't be used for anything other than games or content I wouldn't miss if things went wrong. I use cloud storage and disc based media if I want a longer term storage solution. Internet it not great where I am so makes sense to keep my games on a drive permanently. I had been doing data...
Really want some more game storage what are your thoughts on the QVO series for this namely the 4tb version. I know the TBW is low but once my games are on they will pretty much sit there untouched and just be played.
I've got a samsung 970 500gb nvme for OS a 1tb 860evo for games and a 4tb...
So being a little energy conscious if I'm playing a game and it's running a stupid amount of frames per second does this relate directly to power use? Would say enabling vsync dropping a game from 144 fps to 60Fps lower power usage or would I need to manually adjust the core clocks and voltage...
No an i5 6700 that rig works fine
It's my 5820k rig with 1080ti that's having issues. The i5 rig and 290x plays flawlessly. My 5820k and 1080ti is a stutter fest and unplayable
Nothing noteworthy and I've tried disabling unnecessary stuff. It's literally only that game. Everything else runs butter smooth. I'm playing apex every day almost and no issues there at all.
This stutter thing happens even on minimum settings so can't figure out what's causing it.
So my son asked me to install this and have some games with him. They have a 6700,r9 290x and and it runs fine no issues at all. I have the rig in sig and I'm getting constant hitching and stutters and no matter what settings I use i can't seem to resolve it
Any help would be appreciated.
first double check the pumps are working, you should hear them regardless if the loop is flowing or not,
concerning for me is opening the res should not allow the water to just explode out, that to me would suggest a large air blockage causing a return pressure on the pump. when you filled the...
Maybe I should say I'm moving on to more than likely a 10850k or equivalent AMD (not sure yet) I'm not taking the 6700. So the kids have the pick of 6700 or 5820k
In the process of slowly building up a new PC for myself I currently have a 5820k @4.4Ghz ,32gb ram top end board and 1080ti . My kids currently have a 6700 non k 16gb ram R9 290x they game at 1080p and I'm not looking to change that anytime soon and I'm keeping my 1080ti for a while(until...
So I lost my motherboard standoffs for my phanteks enthoo deluxe.
I got phanteks to send me a replacement set. Does anyone know where the 2 standoffs I've circled are supposed to go?
Feel like banging my head on a wall. Ordered some EK acrylic 12/16 and guess what the bloody barrow locking collar doesn't even fit over the tube as the tube appears to be 0.3mm bigger than the EK Petg. Thus the EK fitting now fits rock solid but the barrow fitting does not fit at all :cry...
yeah fitting correctly i think it is just a sizing issue as the ek fitting grips a lot firmer even though it only has a single o ring in the barrel then the locking o ring. Think i'm going down the acrylic route as my water temp is often 40 degrees and been reading PETG isn't the best choice for...
