They charge extra for a "Pixel Perfect" monitor.
If they are being checked properly then I imagine it'll take a little longer than a minute to check the 3,686,400 pixels.
A full minute is actually quite a long time to look for a dead pixel
...snip...
It works!!

With the correct test images and tools a full minute is surprisingly long enough to test a screen for dead pixels (although a good company liek dell would obviously take longer, but this company I bet you dont)
Ouch dude
But you KNEW it was faulty why open it up
Have you tried speaking to the seller again with your findings?
A long shot I know but you can prove it was faulty.
These screens are just looking better and better!
not had any reply from OcUK as to wether they will be stocking them.
Are any of them VESA compliant?
Seriously getting more and more tempted wonder how my lowly 6950 2Gb would play games this size tho
Are these all just eBay sellers you guys are getting them from?
Whats the options without the glass panel?
You are very very good to keep this thread up OCUK, any other retailer would have taken it down a long time ago but you value your community
Were leaving it because right now were not willing to sell these due to them basically having no warranty.
As shipping faulty panels back to Korea is not an option, so any faulty ones we sold or took back, we'd essentially have to skip them or try to repair, all of which is very expensive.
As were an Etailor we can't just sell them with no warranty at a crazy cheap price like Ebay sellers are.
As such were happy to leave for now as some people are willing to take the risk of having no warranty essentially, but at the same time the value is very good if you get a working one.
But like I say I am in discussions to see what is possible.
And really to be honest there aren't any competitors to be worried about here, it's half the price of any UK model so it's either somethign you take a risk on or not, not like saying got the rain forest retailer and get it for half price or anything. Guess that's why it is being allowed so cheers
Yes i knew it was faulty, but no matter what you do, theres a doubt in your mind that it could be something else, even though id tried different cards/cables etc. could it have been a dodgy power brick etc.
And if i knew it was faulty, why waste £70 sending it to the seller, for him to say, no its fine, or yes its faulty, you just dont know what they will say.
Ive sent him a link to a thread ive done, pics vids, see if hes a good chap or not he only tends to reply once every 24hrs
