Okay i havent paid yet, was actually going to go down to the the warehouse or whatever and pick it up and pay the fee.

But it's out on delivery now...so i'm confused. Pointless going down now if it's out and about, just going to have to wait.

When i got my screens i asked the DHL driver if i had a bill and he said it looks like they got through :s still no bill in the post :)

Got my Catleap today, 2C and wow. No dead pixels, though some bleed, but not sure what to compare it with, think backlight bleed is slightly subjective, (is there a measure?)
Very impressed overall, the rear silver arc is hanging on by one of it's four fixings, is it worth looking to the supplier for compensation? Obvious shipping damage, might give it a go.
Well worth the 8 day wait, though I'm gonna miss the regular visits to the Fedex tracker!!

Agreed and is why we've not bothered yet, Shimian we can obtain, but right now the quality is too questionable for us, we don't want to sell something which a lot of our customers would be dissapointed in and also potentially result in us loosing money.

You guys are happy to take a risk on these. If OcUK offer these then a lot of customers will buy and we risk upsetting many customers if they get none satisfactory equipment due to faults and lack of QC.

A very sensible approach imho. I took the plunge on a Hazro, it had material defects and was of unacceptable quality. The one time ive had to contact OCUK customer support and they just werent interested. The response.... its a Hazro, you get what you pay for, and your only option is to return it at your own cost....

Needless to say i have not purchased from OCUK since. One substandard product in a line up of thousands can and will cost the company money in the long run.

They are not!

Hazro use different internal components of a much higher grade. The only thing in common is the LG IPS panel, but the components around the panel, actual build quality, plus Quality Control is far far higher on the Hazro. Plus the fact Hazro are using Grade A panels, wheras it seems an unknown on the quality of the panel in some of these as the amount of issues with dead pixels seems high.

I dont doubt your expertise, but I do doubt the differences between the Achieva Shimian QH270 and the Hazro WC version.

I didnt see them both internally, but they look exactly the same on the outside. Achieva is the OEM for the Hazro's. And after spending hours on topics about these two monitors, I can conclude that the % of reported defects / stuck pixels is close enough to ignore. The mentioned defects are also identical.
The Shimian uses LG's A- panels, and I expect Hazro to use the same.

So what are the real differences? By the looks of it, it seems like Achieva manufactures both the Hazro's and their own Shimians in the same factory and just paint another logo on it.

Or does this process actually goes very different?

mine is on clearance delay atm at the midlands ... hmmm what happens now?

Mine seemed to get stuck there for a bit, so I called them and it appeared that customs had cleared it but Fedex failed somewhere, and it wasn't until I called that it got shifted finally and delivered to me, was supposed to be delivered Friday, but only got to me yesterday. Not saying the same is true for you, just relating my experiences.
Any idea anybody, how long it takes for import duty letter/email to be sent once package has arrived, my seller appears to have stated value at $250.

Got my shipping email today - however it says DHL shipping with a reference number but I can't seem to track it on the DHL website. any ideas?

I have cancelled my one from Korea, the seller was ok about it and actually quite understanding.
I'm going to use my %10 voucher and get a Hazro as the warranty for me is worth the extra £100. Being able to just pop up the road and have it sorted.

I can definatley see your point, you can PROVE why it wasn't working.
However he may need to send the monitor back to manufacturer in order to get his money back also, whih ofc he can't do now with the damaged screen :(

Good luck dude :)

Yes he has said that to me, ive said to him, as a compromise, do me a "lite version" cheap.

He would have had to pay me £70 postage back anyway.

£70 is damn hefty for postage like.

Ar there no cheaper ways?
Just thinking even if he does you a new one at cost its gonna be bumped up a huge amount by postage :(
