Indeed, seems to be a combination of a new power brick and DP cable that has sorted it. Hopefully thats it for good. Had a wee quick blast on bf3 just now. Feels so much better compared to 60Hz.:)

144hz would....the gsync though...aint worth 200 smackers

I only have bf3 currently installed, so tbh not a great game to measure the use of gsync as ive never had issues running it at decent fps.

Gsync is good but it's not the true messiah

If you have a top end 980 ti and 144hz then Gsync is just icing on the cake...and expensive icing...

Yet the majority in this thread say it is worth it.

should have spent the 200 smackers on a decent eye test or put it towards eye surgery :p

Purchase justification complex...:D

I've spent nearly 600 quid on this Dell TN panel...it's tat....

The mere fact people putting up with coil whine on x34 monitors BLB on Rogs and acers is proof enough....

The monitor arena is stagnant...so they bolt on stuff at a price premium onto old tech...

Squeezing a bezel to eliminate BLB is quite frankly ludicrous.

Thankfully i got my swift for a lot less than the current retail price. To see the full benefits of gsync ill have to install something a bit more demanding. But ill say this, 144Hz makes 60Hz feel like playing a game in sticky mud.:D

40 fps is still 40 fps...regardless of Gsync...

I'm so glad I've scratched the itch with it....buying into one said vendor for me is ridiculous....

Ok you could get an Amd card in the future but you'd still be left with 144hz TN

Something that can be had so much cheaper...

I thought Fallout 4 had it, but not seen an option to turn it on/off.

Edit: nevermind, didn't realise you needed a g-sync monitor.

Yes

And really you don't need a poll. Do you want to be flipping between 60 and 30 fps or do you want a steady framerate. I'm sure freesync users would also report the same.

The only people not bowled over by *sync would be those that would never drop below their minimum framerate anway

Even they would be surely when it means halfing the input lag vsync brings, or the ridding of tearing no vsync brings.

Where are you getting the figure £200 from?

I assume he means if ya look at the price difference between a top end monitor like and x34 and check the gsync vs no gsync theres rougly a £200 difference. Just a guess.

edit: ignore me, explained above :)
