nah i will visit every once in a while. it is fun to get you people worked up easy solution would be to ignore my messages but you people can't, so we're in this predicament. a simple sentence such as "nice to see it gettting destroyed hehe" is easy to push some of the people here to extremes. take it up to the forum's moderation team if you will, they're ones who are letting this happen. maybe if they ban/kick me or something, i may not visit again. but as of now, nothing can't stop me from saying these
no one has to answer, yet they do. they feel compelled to respond. what can I do no one has to defend 3080 or 3070, yet they feel compelled to do so. take it up to them.
when they do respond, they also mix personal insults, which i respond back as a result. it is only natural :=)
no answers to me = no discussion, easy
Hmm depends when you purchase Bill. If your mid release that could be 3 cycles but I digress. Depends how many super dupers and Ti's stagger too!
Still running my 3080 here. Wasn't even tempted to double my money with CEX offering ~£1,500 for it. I'm able to enjoy full RT and DLSS without issue, which is the reason I purchased the card. At the same time I see others trying to push console garbage, yourself included and I have to ask, why? Why do you settle for less?
It's easier just to get along with people mate and say stuff that is constructive and helpful to the community.
It's clear you come along with a big stick to **** people off? Why would you do that?

the problem is when people start spouting nonsense/incorrect statements with no evidence whatsoever to back up their claims and then they get offended because they have had their argument completely and utterly destroyed
They both have 8gb of RAM. RAM by itself was not the limiting factor, it was grunt. Was the 1070 therefore given too much?
Unless of course your a long termer, where a purchase needs to last 3+ years then the jury is still out..
+1There is so much misinformation in this thread it's insane. I've seen console forums populated with 12 year olds spreading less misinformation.
It's almost like certain posters have an agenda.
See, doing silly things like running 50+ mods (and some of the Skyrim Wabbajack compilations are more like 800 mods) is to me the whole reason I run a PC as opposed to a closed system like a console. We're still waiting on someone to post hard evidence to show that a 3080 is struggling @4k because of its 10GB vram (outside of running at silly high vr resolutions or/and using 50+ mods)

To play exclusives that are not available on the pc? Shocking I know.
Warzone just got uninstalled lol.
Would like to see the 4070 with atleast 10gb while a 4080 with 12gb would be the minimum I'd be happy with. For a 4070? I'd guess 8gb wouldn't be enough. A further generation down the line the 4070 will probably be targeting 4k 60fps, with a 4080 aiming at 4k higher refresh?
But a 3070? 8GB is probably OK, as its aiming at a secure 1440p. 4k is not the aim, although it seems relatively capable. So 10Gb for 4k now is probably fine. A 4080 though, not enough,at least of GDDR6x. If it was still that, I'd guess you'd be looking more at 12 to 16, probaby closer to12 though, being realistic about the situation.
Incremental increase, 8k is too far off, so why aim higher? More RAM is unlikely to help refresh rate. Combine that with the necessary built in obsolescence, and I'm struggling to see a NEED to go much higher.
Well if they are any good they will end up on PC. If not legally then emulated. Patience...
