I have 24GB in mine, 6x 4GB mixed types.

Runs at DDR2000~ 9,11,10,28 with 1.65v on memory and 1.3v QPI

Not stable at 4.7ghz anymore however, fine at 4.4ghz though.

I'm running 1.35 vcore and have tested at 1.35 v on the QPI last night...

I'm thinking now I push up the vcore.....

I'm happy with 4ghz....24/7 but I'm running triple channel 12gb ....

I'm trying to ascertain wether more vcore is needed or QPI.... 12gb ram all slots filled is tricky IMO....

Take three out and test. 1.35 core is high for 4ghz

I didn't think vcore needed to be changed but your about out of headroom with that QPI voltage :( not sure really...

I was going to look for some cheap memory but might give it a miss now!

I have 24gb in mine as well (6x 4gb Kingston Beast). Though can't get the memory over the 1600mhz which it's rated at without it crashing. I only run my x5650 at 4ghz any way so it's no big deal. If I go over 4ghz I have to crank the vcore etc right up.

Would you say it's worth building a server with this CPU for a 24/7 Minecraft Server? I am not paying £30 a month for enough RAM to run a Modded server for 8-10 friends and if it's good enough I can do other stuff with it.

£65 for the CPU, I need a motherboard and I have a spare PSU/Case/RAM/drive.

Stick an eBay alert on for a 5670, saw one go for 82 last week!

Yeah good idea! A 5670 would be amazing for that price. It would certainly be all in for under 200 quid

Also would I get away with six sticks of 4gb ram? They would be identical sticks

I current have 2x4gb ripjaws and rather than add a third I was thinking of giving it a complete overhaul
