If true, 14th gen will be able to hold boost clocks for longer. 6Ghz (single thread) will be sustained if the CPU won't throttle until 115C.
I wonder if reviewers will be instructed to turn on this feature?

I think so, no changes i've seen yet for release date.
I would wait till the 24th November though for Black Friday offer, guarantee to be some sort of deal with these unless you're desperate for one now.
From what I've seen, reviewers aren't allowed to publish anything until the 16th, so it's just assumed that the K SKUs are launching 17th.

Prices are aggressive, i9 is marginally quicker than 13th gen but with much better memory support. i7 is a lot faster as you get more cores than previous i7 generation and i5 is marginally quicker again. Memory support is far improved over 13th gen in both capacity and overclocking across 14th gen.
