£1850 Budget for Gaming Rig, Monitor snd Rift Bundle.

Games always under estimate HW - stick verything on ULTRA and benchmark it if it has the option.

And have you installed the monitor drivers and instructed Nvidia control centre (or display adapter properties - set screen refresh rate to 75) that your monitor is 75Hz?

Haven't done anything in NVidia control I will have a look.

Thermal Grizzlie paste, non metal one !!!
Best there is

Again, check my above comment about power plan as a tester

Fan comes with 3 pin connector you'll hook up to the fan controller cables at the back of the case and

I though I had changed the power plan option to performance yesterday but when I've checked it said balanced? I've reset to defaults to see what happens.

I looked on the AOC website and found my monitor but there is no driver download?

I don't have NVidia control centre I don't think, only GeForce experience, are they the same?

  • Right click the desk top
  • select Nvidia Control Panel
  • Click on change resolution
  • check 1440p - native (if not set already)
  • change refresh to 75
  • Apply changes
Or Right click desk top and select 'Display settings' then 'display adapter properties' and then the monitor tab - or do both...

Thank you @Plec fresh rate in NVidia control was set 60hz so changed to 75 and saved.

Going to check Division again now.

CPU temp ? That's fine !
If GPU , fine again

I will need to check the GPU again but the saga continues!!!

Yesterday when the computer shut down and all the lights went off, that happened when i pushed the left hand side menu button on the controller, well tonight i pushed that button again while in game and its done it again??

You're using an Xbox controller to play a PC FPS?

You'll get crucified :D

Try disconnecting the controller and playing the game with the mouse and WASD keys - and see if it plays for more than 5 seconds.

XBOX controller for driving games and the odd third person game (i think)...

Once you get used to mouse and keyboard combo you won't go back.

I think it's 3rd person , but yeah, you'll have quicker reaction time .

Bth that might be software glitch in game or windows and not hardware wise with the actual PC

Slightly different issue but highlights an issue

@orbitalwalsh @Plec

I was playing for about 15 minites using both the controller and the keyboard. It wasnt until I pushed that button it went off. Nothing wrong with the pc itself i dont think.

CPUz is still showing 1463.2mhz

I will try a rear one!

Very odd one, some how acts as an instant shut down ....

Bit interesting to see if you play a VR games with that controller and you press the button , if it does the same thing .... Or any other game

Least your CPU seems to be fine when gaming, just an unusually high idle at stock . Also, set the fan speed to max on the case ? Their silent so just run them full whack :D

Fans are at full and ive ordered a third fan, ut come tomorrow along with the paste, i might aswell do both together and sooner rather than later.

Having issue with internet now, it connect to my router but theres no internet access, phone works fine though? The old pc was similar so think it might be a sky router issue.

I will try the controller with other games and let you know mate.

I have the same issue ! Only recently with BT. My router is going . I have to unplug the power. Swap ports and after ten mins plug the mains back into the router .
Windows states it's can't be assigned an IP address of something like that

Run dual 140mm on twin builds in the same case you've got.. no be though :(

Does provide and nice flow . Also you'll have positive pressure to less dust entering through unfiltered gaps

Also removing unwanted HDD trays helps... But I'm lazy !
