1899 | Netflix

Burned my way through the first 5 episodes already. This show has a huge Dark vibe. Loving it so far, although I do wish they hadn't relied so heavily on the 'main characters would know a lot more about the situation if they just shared information, but for no good reason they've arbitrarily decided not to do that' trope.

Think they coulda ended on e7, but not yet watched e8.

I wasn't sold on Dark, and didn't bother with s2 until the hype for s3 picked up. I'm hoping the same applies here.

@ethan twee is the correct word for it.

I almost didn't watch this as people said it was like dark (and I couldn't wrap my head around that) but although it's very similar it's much less complex.

Really enjoying it so far.

Problem I had with dark was the combination of
-jumpingplace to place
-jumping time (thus same people looking different.
-sub titles
-complex story

So it's Matrix Inception then?

I get the same feeling I did with Dark, if you create utter nonsense and wrap it in an artistic style. People will call you a genius.
