Postcount +1 ?

Not sure what I'm going to do with this ATC200 now I have it. Its in good nick and I'm worried about damaging it doing anything fancy!
think mine is going to be pretty tame, and thats even if I have time to do anything with it

And you beat me to the bid on that as well. :( :p I was thinking of custom making a facia for it and some other stuff. Having said that, I really don't have time for another project.

Yeh I would have been gutted if he sold to you after all the interest I had shown!
Its a damn nice case. I'm just worried about ruining it :p
Loads of leds and cathodes anyone? :D

any update's at all lads?

As Raikiri states there wont be many posting of work logs etc.. here until the closing date of the competition (31st october).

I think i've almost sussed out what vinyl i'm going to use for the side panels and top, just awaiting a few more samples!

I need to decide if i'm going to polish the front or get it anodised (if so what colour) so need to source that as well and get a price (this is not a big budget mod!)

Still need to get hold of a MOBO/CPU/RAM combo - donations welcome :D :D

Buzz me on msn, may have an old rig that isnt up to charirty donation lying about, by that I mean wont run 98se and office 2000. But would boot XP up.

Will see what I have, just nab me on MSN about it or drop me an email.

I don't get that, wont run 98se but will boot up XP?

Progress Report:

Well, i got some time today to work on my mod, and i've been dremeling and jigsawing away, all my cutting disks on the dremel clone are done now so i had to stop (see thread about dremel bits). My side panels now fit again, althought there is still a small area that need to be removed were there are rivits to make them fit snug again.

I Jigsawed out the rear fan area, just need to sand/file/dremel it down now to smooth it off - whats the best way to do this? is there a specific dremel type tool that would be suitable? I don't think sand paper will work and i don't have a metal file.

XP will run on a p2 450 with 512mb ram no trouble.

Will handle music, internet and msn with only minor stuttering every so often.

Thats right. I have had XP running on my works PC which was only a 350 cpu and 128mb ram!! It was slow but the internet ran fine.

I have some new cutting disks again so modding can recommence!

I have also decided to strip the existing paint off and spray the panels to cover up the cut edges - i'll still be applying vinyl but i think sprying as well will gove a better finish allround.

I have been thinking about using some mesh although i'm not sure what for lol

Just got a silver drive bezel and white cold cathodes as well now so fully kitted up for my 5 items:

ATC 201 Case (2 items)
CM PSU (1 Item)
CM Optical drive bezel (1 Item)
Cold Cathode kit (1 item)
80mm Fans (5 off = 5 items)

All the major cutting has now been done, the panels now fit properly and the PSU will fit easilly as well (I wish i'd tried the PSU before moding to see if it would fit)

Need to get to work on the side panel next and tidy up the cuts in the chasis before the stripping/painting can commence.

Also still need to work on the front panel, really can't decide on anodizing or just polishing it up. Need to pull a finger out and get a cost for anodising the panel.

Has anyone else got any updates on how their work is coming along?!?

I have replaced the front fans! there now bloooo led ones. Sadly there slightly different colours :(
I doubt I'm going to get much more of a chance to do anything unless I come back from uni one weekend to do it. Freshers week next week :D

Anyone got any updates on how there mod is going?? how many people left gonna be entering?? mines going slowly!!!
I'm not going to be able to do anything....
Just don't have the time. :(

If anyone is desperate for a ATC200 SX2 + some various other bits to take part give us a mail!
The actualy rig I have in it is no use either. Can only connect one rig up at a time here at uni. So having a second one is pointless.
